Please allow this letter to serve as a formal request to extend building permit number 201700768, for the property located at 8101 West
46th Street in Wheat Ridge. The permit was almost 6 months prior to us starting the job, which is almost completed. The deck is made
fr .
Unfortunately, we are again waiting for several posts and pieces of Cumaru trim to finish the deck off. I was told that the wood could take
up to 2 months to obtain as it literally comes from South America. We have a few weeks of work left but will not have posts to finish. WE
will install a temporary rail until the actual posts are received.
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. The permit expires on the 22nd 2018 and with the holiday weekend upon
us, I thought it was prudent to get this formal request to your office. Let me know when we can come by to pick up another permit. We will
not work on the deck until a new permit is issued. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspection

or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding -&1/2-inch exists. Asphalt shingles are required to
be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is
required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturera€-s installation
instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of
elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the
manufacturer's technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at
(project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for
(roof material brand name) roof covering” is required to be on site at the time of final
inspection.

1. This permit was issued in accordance with the provisions set forth in your application and is subject to the laws of the
State of Colorado and to the Zoning Regulations and Building Codes of Wheat Ridge, Colorado or any other applicable
ordinances of the City.
2. This permit shall expire 180 days from the issue date. Requests for an extension must be received prior to expiration
date. An extension may be granted at the discretion of the Building Official.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be acquired for a fee of one-half the amount normally required, provided no
changes have been or will be made in the original plans and specifications and any suspension or abandonment has not
exceeded one (1) year. If changes have been or if suspension or abandonment exceeds one (1) year, full fees shall
be paid for a new permit.
4. No work of any manner shall be done that will change the natural flow of water causing a drainage problem.
S. Contractor shall notify the Building Inspector twenty -four (24) hours in advance for all inspections and shall receive
written approval on inspection card before proceeding with successive phases of the job.
6. The issuance of a permit or the approval of drawings and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, nor

Thank you for the opportunity to examine the roof framing system at the above address to
determine the acceptability for the installation of a new solar array. We examined the roof
supports, the house for existing cracks from other movements and the exterior. There are
always areas that are not observable and we attempted to determine the framing method in
those locations.

The racking shall be no closer than 6 feet from the edge of the roof on the up slope side.
Please note, anytime you add weight to the roof there is a rapid change of loading. This
change in loading, movement of materials and men, and the pounding that occurs, can cause
small drywall cracks. These are not structural. If you observe any cracking, please call our
office so we can make sure that there is nothing else that may have occurred. This type of
cracking is due to normal house movement and is not the responsibility of the roofing
contractor or the engineer.
This opinion is based on the conditions observed. Calculations for acceptability are based on
the conditions observed using current versions of analysis software. Change of use or loading
by conditions outside of those observed can change the results of the analysis. Alterations to
the framing will require a new analysis.
This building is adequate for a ballasted PV system with no structural modifications.
