Re: 3460 Youngfield Street, Angle Nails Salon.
The following requirements are made under the 2003 International Fire
Code adopted by the Fire Board of the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District
and the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
• The aisles in the storage area from the entry doars shall be the width
of the doors.
• Storage shall be kept to a height of 6 feet or 24 inches from the top of
the addition wall. (Fire separation from the ceiling.)
• All exit doors shall have a required sign stating "THIS DOOR TO
REMAIN i.JNLOCKED WHILE THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED."
• Fire Extinguishers with a minimum rating of 2A-40BC shall be
mounted in the assembly area of both businesses and within the
storage area. (Mounting height shall be 3 to 5 feet from the floar
surface.)
• Addresses sha11 be established for the separate businesses according to
the City Building Department. ( LJNIT A<B<)
• A Fire Evacuation plan shall be established with the owner and the
tenants of the building.
• The Fire Alarm shall have complete coverage of the building and have
a graphic map at the entry doors. (A.D.A. requirements of a fire alarm
when an A.D.A. bathroom is present.)
• There shall be emergency lighting installed at all paths of egress
including the storage area.
• The area of the parking lot in front of the building shall be clearly
marked as "FIRE Lf1NE NO PARKING".
• Occupancy load shall be established by the City of Wheat Ridge and
posted at fhe entrance to fhe building.
• The occupancy shall not exceed the posted limit.
The plans submitted to the Fire District do not show the entire scope of the
work to be done at the site. There may be other requirements made by the
Fire District upon inspections.
