2. This.permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and

The Building Division will issue a Certificate of Completion as soon as the following items are
corrected and addressed.
1.
Damper shall be removed from gas fire place this is very dangerous due to carbon
monoxide.
2.
All plumbing shall be working for final.
3.
Handrails are needed on the stairway.
4.
Drywall shall be completed under stairs per code.
5.
Dryer shall be vented to the outside of the house.
6.
Pressure relief valve on hot water heater shall termite no greater than 6" above the
floor.
Since there was work done without inspections and not noted on the original permit we will consider
the following items not to code but will still issue a Certificate of Completion for the items listed on
the original permit application.
1. The basement bedroom is missing a egress window and shall not be used or
considered to be a bedroom. The only bedrooms to code are on the first floor.
2. The furnace is not working properly.
3. Gas fire place is not to code.
4. Wood fire place needs a 20" hearth.
5. Electrical cord is a trip hazard from gas fire place and is not to code
6. Insulation in the basement walls has not been inspected and would be easy to say
there is no insulation in the walls.

This online system was designed to allow homeowners and contractors to order electrical permits,
pay for them using a credit card, and request inspections via the Internet.

Electrical permits for all state inspected areas, public schools, and state buildings will be issued by the
State Electrical Board office in Denver. Please contact the office at (303) 894-2300 to request permit
forms or for additional information.

and must not do work on a "homeowner" permit or permit issued to another company. Please see

Permit Information
A valid Colorado State Plumbing permit must be applied for and issued through this office before
requesting an inspection. All permits are valid for one year from their date of issuance unless specifically
requesting a longer period.
Plumbing contractors are required to take out permits on jobs performed by their companies. The
master plumber's signature is required on all permit applications. A contractor may not do work on a
"homeowner" issued permit.

download and print a permit form. This form is not designed to be submitted electronically; however, the

Permit fees are subject to change July 1st of each year. The fee schedule is on the back of the permit
form. Please notice the effective date at top of the form.
The permit number must be given to the inspector when requesting an inspection in order for the
inspector to download your permit information.
Each inspector is responsible for setting their inspection schedule. You may call their inspection line for
specific details regarding the day(s) they normally inspect in their assigned areas. Inspections should be
called into the inspector's office (see below) no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to your needing an
