"Map Revision Data. Certified documentation by a registered professional engineer of as-built
conditions for flood plain alterations were received and submitted to FEMA for a flood insurance
map revision.
Fill Certificate. A community official certified the elevation, compaction, slope and slope

protection for all fill placed in the flood plain consistent with NFIP regulations Part 65.5 for map
revisions.
Elevation and Floodproofmg Certificates. The as-built elevation of the builiding's lowest floor
was certified as NGVD; or the building's floodproofing level was certified as

SUBJECT: Flood Plain Exception Fence Permit

I have reviewed the attached building permit application for a fence permit within the 100-year flood plain.
The Flood Hazard Area Delineation for Clear Creek document was used in my review. Elevations between
the property in question and 100-year level were compared and this indicated that the flooding in this area
is approximately just above six (6) inches and is probable in backwater area. Therefore, the impact of the
proposed 6-ft Wooden Fence is minimal. The flooding in this area either has no or low flow velocity and
will slowly rise, and slowly subsides rather than being drained quickly by flowing downstream.
Due to the encroachment into the flood plain, the applicant must complete an application for Class I Special
Exception to the Flood Plain. Based on the information submitted and my review of that information, the
application will be approved.
