RESOLUTION NO. 05

TITLE : A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE
LOCATI ON AND THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL
CIRCULATION FOR TH E C ITY OF WHEA T RIDGE, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes require mun icipal ities to
designate official public notice and publication locations for legal notices; and
WHEREAS, such locations must be approved by the governing body of
the municipality annually; and
WHEREAS, the City is required by Charter, Ordinance and State Law to
publish certain notices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City
Council, that:
Section 1. Pub lic notice of public meeti ngs of the City Council, Planning
Commission , Board of Adjustment , and all other Board , Commission, Committee,
and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required , shall be posted
on the first floor at the Municipal Bui lding , 7500 West 291h Avenue , Wheat Ridge ,
Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the C ity .
Section 2 . Except as otherwise perm itted by Sections 5 .2 and 5 .12 of the
Charter, notices and other information required to be p ublished in a newspaper of
general circulation wit hin the City , shall be made in the Wheat Ridge Transcript;
except that, where circumstance makes publication ineffective or otherwise
undes irable , the City may publ ish official notice on t he City's website .
Section 3 . This reso lution shall be effective upon adoption .
