A RESOLU TION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2011 BUDGET TO
REFLECT THE APPROVAL OF INCREASED REVENUE IN THE
OPEN SPACE AND RICHARDS HART ESTATE FUNDS
WHEREAS , the City's independe nt auditor has recommend ed t hat the City
Council provide approval of an increase in revenue in City funds when the City
receives non-budgeted revenue through a gra nt o r when the year-end revenue total
in a fun d is higher th a n the Cou ncil approved budget amount; an d
WHEREAS , in order t o meet this auditor recommendation , this resolution
provides for approval of increased revenue for certain funds in the 2011 Fiscal Year;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the C i ty Counci l of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. For Fiscal Year 2011 as shown in the attached spreadsheet, the City of Wheat
Ridge Open Space Bu dget be amended accordingly, to reflect increased reve nue
ove r t he budgeted amo unt by $120 ,622 f rom grants , inte rest and other revenue
sources for t he 2011 fi sca l year . The Council adopted Open Space Fund bu dgeted
revenue amount was $1 ,189,432. T he revised revenue amount is $1 ,310 ,05 4 with
an en d ing fund balance of $61 ,5 13 .
B . For Fiscal Year 2011 as shown in the attached spreadsheet, the City of Wheat
Ridge Richa rds Hart Estate Fund was closed by City Council in 2011 an d remaining
fu nd s were t ransf erred t o the Gene ral Fund at ye ar end . Inc reased revenue in the
amount of $5 ,57 4 was received from ren t als an d interest. The Council adopted
Rich a rd s Hart Estate Fund budgeted revenue amount was $22 ,440. The revised
rev e n ue a mou nt is $28 ,014 wit h a tota l of $55 ,775 t ransferred to t he General Fund .
