RESOLUTION NO. 54-2014

TITLE: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A STREET WIDTH FOR TABOR
STREET FROM 49th AVENUE TO RIDGE ROAD
WHEREAS , the City Council approved an Intergovernmental Agreement with
RTD on March 22 , 2014 to improve Tabor Street from the 1-70 Frontage Road North to
Ridge Road ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a resolution on August 25, 2014
amending the fiscal year 2014 Capital Investment Program budget to fund property
acquisition services for the project, which included hiring HC Peck to assist with the
right of way acquisition process; and
WHEREAS , City staff has completed preliminary plans for the project that
establishes a new street width on Tabor Street from 491h Avenue to Ridge Road ; and
WHEREAS , City Charter Section 5 .20 designates the City Council as the sole
authority to determine the width of all city streets within the boundaries of the City of
Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS , within one (1) year prior to construction or reconstruction of a street,
the City Council shall hold a public hearing and adopt the new flow line of said street as
the street's official street width designation .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge ,
Colorado , that:
Section 1. New Street Width Designation. Pursuant to the authority vested in it
by Charter Section 5.20, the City Council hereby designates the street width for the
portion of Tabor Street between 491h Avenue and R idge Road as forty one (41) feet.
