HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes WA-00-10(B) ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF RESOLUTION I, Ann Lazzeri, Secretary to the City of Wheat Ridge Board of Adjustment, do hereby certifY that the following Resolution was duly adopted in the City of Wheat Ridge, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado on the 27th day of September, 2000. CASE NO: WA-OO-I0 (8) APPLICANT'S NAME: Monica Cordell LOCATION: 4150 Carr Street Upon a motion by Board Member ABBOTT and second by Board Member MAURO, the following resolution was stated: WHEREAS, the applicant was denied permission by an administrative officer; and WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Application Case No. W A-OO-l 0 (B) is an appeal to this Board from the decision of an administrative officer; and WHEREAS, the property bas been posted the required fifteen days by law, and in recognition that there was one protest registered against Option B but no protests were registered against Option A; WHEREAS, the relief applied for may not be granted without detriment to the public welfure and without substantially impairing the intent and purpose of the regulations governing the City of Wheat Ridge. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Board of Adjustment Application Case No. WA-OO-lO (B) be, and hereby is, DENIED. TYPE OF V ARlANCE: Request for a 4-foot, 5-inch side yard setback variance from the combined side yard setback requirement in an R-2 zone, reducing the combined side yard setback to 10 feet,S inches for the purpose of constructing an attached garage with a two-story addition. FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: 1. An objection was registered to Option B by the property owner immediately to the south. 2. The plight of the owner is not due to unique or unusual circumstances. 3. The proposed side yard setback would likely impair adequate light and air to the adjoining property to the south as argued by the neighbor to the south.
