Adjustment, do hereby certify that the following Resolution was
duly adopted'in the City of Wheat Ridge, County of Jefferson, State
of Colorado, on the 25th, day of Segremhar 1g97,

Upon motion by Board Member ABROmT seconded by Board Member
wAr,xF:~, the following Resolution was stated.
WHEREAS, the applicant was denied permission by an Administrative
Officer; and
WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Application, Case N_o. JdA-9~-ii-A _
is an appeal to this Board from the decision of an Administrative
Officer; and
WHEREAS, the property has been posted the required 15 days by law
and there WERE NO protests registered against it; and
WHEREAS, the relief applied 'f or MAY be granted without detriment to
• the public welfare and without ,substantially impairing the intent
and purpose of the regulations governing the City of Wheat Ridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BS IT RESOLVED that Board of Adjustment Application
Case No. WA-97-ii-A be and hereby is APPROVED.
TYPE OF VARIANCE: To relocate an existing 32~ billboard within
the same B-2 zone district
FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON:
1. The.relocation of the billboard will have a more compatible
land use.
VOTE: YES: Abbott, Hovland, Howard, Mauro, and Walker
NO: Thiessen
DISPOSITION: Relocation variance granted by a vote of 5-1.

is an appeal to this Board from the decision of an Administrative
Officer; and
WHEREAS, the property has been posted the required 15 days by law
and there WERE NO protests registered against it; and
WHEREAS, the relief applied for MAY be granted without detriment to
the public welfare and without substantially impairing the intent
and purpose of the regulations governing the City of Wheat Ridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Board of Adjustment Application
Case No. WA-97-i]-tl be and hereby is APPROVED.
TYPE OF VARIANCE: An 18' billboard height variance to the 32'
• height restriction
FOR TH8 FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. There is a 26' grade difference between I-76 and said
property.
2. There are existing billboards located within the area.
3. Graphics were presented which illustrate the lack of
visibility of a billboard placed at the 32' height
restriction.
WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
1. The appellant will not request any height above 50' for this
billboard prior to relocation.
VOTE: YES: Abbott, Hovland; Mauro, and Walker
N0: Howard and Thiessen
DISPOSITION: Billboard height variance denied by a vote o£ 4-2.
