HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes TUP-93-1 CERTIFICATE OF RESOLUTION I, Mary Lou Chapla, Secretary to the City of Wheat Ridge Board of Adjustment, do hereby certify that the following Resolution was duly adopted in the City of Wheat Ridge, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, on the 28th day of January 1993. CASE NO: TUP-93-1 APPLICANT'S NAME: Colorado Catholic Academy LOCATION: 11180 West 44th Avenue Upon motion by Board Member ABBOTT seconded by Board Member ROSSILLON the following Resolution was stated. WHEREAS, the applicant was denied permission by an Administrative Officer; and _ WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Application, Case No. TUP-93-1 is an appeal to this Board from the decision of an Administrative Officer; and WHEREAS; the property has been posted the required 15 days by law and there WERE NO protests registered against it; and WHEREAS; the relief applied for MAY be granted without detriment to the public welfare and without substantially impairing the intent and purpose of the regulations governing the City of Wheat Ridge. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Board of Adjustment Application Case No. TUP-93-1 be and hereby is APPROVED. REQUEST: Approval of a one week temporary shelter (August 11-16, 1993) PURPOSE: To house up to '1200 persons for World Youth Conference FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON: 1. The Board finds that based upon all .evidence presented and based upon the Board's conclusions relative to the five specific questions to justify the temporary use permit, the evidence and facts in this case do-support the granting of this request. WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 1. All on-site activities be oriented toward the middle of the property. 2. There be no lighting on the eastern perimeter and what lighting there is be oriented toward the central activity area (i.e., poles no higher than 25' with down-cast fixtures). 3. Electrical generators-and dumpsters be located at the northwestern corner of the property. i 3 e r l CASE NO. TUP-93-1/RESOLUTION Page ~2 4. The applicant continue working with utility companies and city departments to ensure minimal negative impacts from the temporary shelter. 5. The occupant load of sleeping tents and any other facilities used for sleeping shall be determined by a Wheat Ridge building official and the Arvada Fire Department. 6. Exit openings, main aisles and cross aisles shall meet Uniform Building Code standards with variance as allowed by a Wheat Ridge building official. 7. Emergency reaction plan shall be submitted for approval by the City and/or the Arvada Fire District. This plan shall address a full spectrum of emergencies including: fire, medical, power outage, tornado, bomb threat, and so forth. 8. Battery and/or AC powered smoke detection and exit lights shall be installed with approval of the building official and/or the Arvada Fire District. 9. If used, diesel generators shall be re-fueled during times of minimum site occupancy. 10. Cooking or heating with propane fuel is prohibited.
