CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER The Wheat Ridge Urban Renewal Authority meeting was called to order by Chair Collins at 5:37 p.m. The meeting was held in the second floor conference room of the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. 2. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS Members present: Norm Burkpile Sandra Collins Vance Edwards Elwyn Kiplinger Janet Leo Kandi McKay Members absent: Tom Mallinson John Hall Mary Hashem Margy Platter Also attending: Jim Windholz, Urban Renewal Attorney Alan White, WRURA Executive Director Ann Lazzeri, Recording Secretary 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting of September 9, 2002 were presented for consideration. It was moved by Norm Burkpile and seconded by Vance Edwards to approve the minutes as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 4. PUBLIC FORUM There were none present to address the authority. 5. NEW BUSINESS A. Discussion of Draft Relocation Policv - Jim Windholz presented a draft relocation policy for the 38th Avenue project. He explained that relocation policies are required by urban renewal law and an individual relocation policy is required for each urban renewal project. The Authority can decide whether or not to hold public hearings on the relocation policy. WRURA Minutes 09-23-02 Page I Mr. Windholz requested further review by Authority members in order to have a detailed discussion at the next WRURA meeting. B. Update on 38th & Sheridan - Alan White gave a brief update on responses to the advertisements for RFP's. The deadline to submit a proposal is October II. He reported that, in addition to sending out six additional RFP's, he has been contacted by someone who is interested but wanted to enter into a confidentiality agreement. Jim Windholz will contact this person and discuss the legalities associated with proprietary information, etc. C. Sales Tax Increment Collections - Alan White reviewed the report regarding sales tax increment collections. These collections amount to a little over $60,000 through the month of August. 6. OLD BUSINESS Kandi McKay requested that WRURA packets include copies of newspaper notices and articles regarding the city's urban renewal projects. She also requested to be informed of other meetings associated with urban renewal. 7. OTHER MATTERS There were no other matters to come before the Authority. 8.
