CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair BROWN at 6:30 p.m. on October 25,2001 in the second floor conference room of the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. (The business portion of the meeting was preceded by dinner and viewing of a video entitled Managing your Public Official's Liability.) 2. ROLL CALL Members Present: Tom Abbott Michelle Brown Paul Drda Bill Echelmeyer Paul Hovland Bob Howard Jerry Montoya Kent Young Staff Present: Alan White, Planning Director Travis Crane, Planner Ann Lazzeri, Secretary The following is the official set of Board of Adjustment minutes for the Public Hearing of October 25, 2001. A set of these minutes is retained both in the office of the City Clerk and in the Department of Planning and Development of the City of Wheat Ridge. 3. PUBLIC FORUM There was no one signed up to speak. 4. PUBLIC HEARING A. Case No. WA-OI-08: (continued from September 27, 2001) An application filed by Lee and Sharon Brooks for an interpretation of a story as defined by Section 26-123 of the City of Wheat Ridge Code of Laws and approval of an 8- foot side yard setback variance from the required 15-foot side yard setback resulting in a 7- foot side yard setback to the south and a 10- foot side yard setback variance from the required 15- foot side yard setback resulting in a 5- foot side yard setback to the north for property zoned Residential-One (R-IC) and located at 2941 Chase. Plans for this case were revised and variances were no longer needed. The application was withdrawn on October 19,2001. Page 1 Board of Adjustment 10/05/01 B. Case No. W A-OI-I0: An application filed by TPI Petroleum for approval of a 28.5 foot side yard setback variance from the required 30-foot side yard setback resulting in a 1.5 foot side yard setback for the purpose of building a temporary structure to house equipment for soil and groundwater remediation on property zoned Commercial-One (C-l) and located at 12300 West 44th Avenue. This application was withdrawn on October 16,2001. 5. CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING Chair BROWN declared the public hearing closed. 7. NEW BUSINESS 6. OLD BUSINESS There was no old business to come before the Board. A. Minutes of September 27, 2001: It was moved by Board Member ECHELMEYER and seconded by Board Member HOVLAND to approve the minutes of September 27, 2001 as presented. The motion passed 7-0 with Board Member HOWARD abstaining. B. Set next meeting date: It was moved by Board Member MONTOYA and seconded by Board Member HOWARD to set December 13, 2001 as the next meeting date for the Board of Adjustment. The motion passed 7-1 with Chair BROWN voting no. 8.
