OL OR LIQUOR AUTHORITY Meeting was called to
order by Chairman Wilde at 6:00 p.m Council members present: Claudia
Worth, Jean Fields, Don Eafanti, Teri Dalbec, Jerry DiTullio, Janelle
Shaver and Ken Siler. Tony Solano arrived at 6:30 p.m. Also present:
City Clerk, Wanda Sang; City Attorney, Gerald Dahl; arrived at 6:30
p.m.
Item 2. Application for a new Retail Liquor Store License from
Vernon D. Vohoska, dba "Vern's Liquors", 4403 Wadsworth
Blvd., Wheat Ridge, Colorado. (1-mile radius only)
Motion by Mr. Siler to waive the survey for Vern Vohoska, dba "Vern's
Liquors", 4403 Wadsworth Blvd., Wheat Ridge, because the needs and
desires of the neighborhood have already been established, Mr. Siler
further moved to hold a public hearing on this application on August
18, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. and order the property be posted and the public
hearing date be published in the Wheat Ridge Transcript; seconded by
Mr. DiTullio; carried 5-2.
Item 3. Application for a Special Events Permit from the Wheat Ridge
Carnation Festival Committee to dispense 3.2% Beer at the
Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival.
Mr. DiTullio moved to approve the Special Events Permit for the Wheat
Ridge Carnation Festival Committee, 3596 Ingalls Street, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, at the location of the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival,
Albert E. Anderson Park at 44th & Field Street in Wheat Ridge, to
dispense 3.2% Beer from 4:00 p.m. to 11 00 p.m. on August 15, 1997;
and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on August 16, 1997; and from
12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. on August 17, 1997; Mr. DiTullio further moved
to authorize the Mayor to sign the application for the Special Events
Permit.

Mrs. Worth moved to amend the motion for the Mayor Pro Tem to sign the
Special Events Permit application; seconded by Mrs. Shaver; Motion as
amended carried 7-0.
Item 1. Renewal Hearing for RyTy Futures, Inc., dba "Pigskins",
10051 I-70 Frontage Road, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Mrs. Dalbec moved to postpone until August 18, 1997.
Mr. Siler moved for an amendment to the motion that if the
applicant(s) for "Pigskins" are not present at the August 18, 1997,
Liquor Hearing the Liquor Authority will deny the renewal; seconded by
Mrs. Worth; Motion as Amended carried 7-0.
Mrs. Dalbec moved to adjourn; seconded by Mr. Eafanti; carried 7-0.
Mr. Siler moved to re-open the Liquor Authority Meeting; seconded by
Mrs. Shaver; carried 7-0.
Mr. Dahl stated that a procedure is needed regarding posting property
for renewal hearings.
Consensus 8-0 that the Liquor Authority Meeting on August 18, 1997,
start at 7:00 p.m.
Consensus 8-0 for the City (Jack Hurst, Wanda Sang or Gerald Dahl) to
post property for renewal hearings.
Mrs. Dalbec moved to adjourn; seconded by Mr DiTullio; carried 8-0.
Meeting adjourned.
