The Local Liquor Licensing Authority Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Cerveny at 7 35 p m Councilmembers present: Teri Dalbec, Jerry DiTullio,
Lloyd Donnelly, Don Eafanti, Ralph Mancinelli, Janelle Shaver, Ken Siler, and Claudia Worth
Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones, City Manager, Robert Middaugh
Item 1. Special Events Permit for Carnation Festival
Motion by Mrs Worth to approve the Special Events Permit for the Wheat Ridge Carnation
Festival Committee, 3596 Ingalls Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, at the location of the Wheat
Ridge Carnation Festival, Anderson Park at 44th & Field Street in Wheat Ridge, to dispense
3.2% Beer on August 14, 1998 from 4 00 p m to 11 00 p m , on August 15, 1998 from 12 00
noon to 1200 midnight; on August 16, 1998 from 12 00 noon to 7 00 p m. I further move to
authorize the Mayor to sign the Special Events Permit; seconded by Mr DiTullio, carried 8-0
Item 2. Application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License for Zuned Ahmed Khan,
dba "Taj Mahal Cuisine of India", 3244 Youngfield Street, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado
Applicant, Mr Khan, was present and answered Councils' questions
Jay Reed, 3244 Youngfield, a neighboring business owner, spoke in favor of the application
Motion by Mrs. Shaver to approve the application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License
for•Zuned Ahmed Khan, dba "Taj Mahal Cuisine of India", 3244 Youngfield Street, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, for the following reasons 1 All applications and fees required by statute
have been filed and paid 2 Notice of hearing and posting of the premises have been
accomplished according to statutory requirements 3 The applicant is entitled to occupancy
of the premises by virtue of a signed lease dated August 20, 1997 4 The applicant has been
cleared by the Police Department; seconded by Mr Eafanti, carried 8-0
Meeting adjourned at 7 45 p m.
