The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wilde at 9 00 a.m Liquor
Authority Members present: Dan Wilde, Harry Williams, Frank Sanzalone, Kent Davis, George
Langdon, and Judith DiCroce Rocco Gioso and Mark Roberts were absent. Also present:
Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones, Chief of Police, Jack Hurst; staff; and interested citizens.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF September 10, 1998
Motion by Mr Williams for the approval of the Minutes of September 10, 1998, seconded by
Mrs DiCroce, carried 6-0
Item 1. Transfer of Ownership for Vern's Liquor, 4403 Wadsworth Blvd , Wheat Ridge,
Colorado
Applicant Hee Sook Lee was present, accompanied by an interpreter, Mr Steve Ahn She
stated she would be working in the store, but would have help from somebody who could
identify a false ID She answered that she had read the Colorado liquor code and understood
it and that she had taken liquor training She stated she had been a resident for 12 years and
spoke, read, and wrote English "a little"
Motion by Mr Davis to approve the Transfer of Ownership from Vernon D Vohoska, dba
"Vern's Liquors", 4403 Wadsworth Blvd , Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to Hee Sook Lee, for the
following reasons 1 All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid, 2
The applicant will be entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a signed lease dated
July 12, 1998, 3 The applicant has been cleared by the Police Department; seconded by Mrs
DiCroce, carried 6-0

Item 2. New Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License Application, The Noodle Shop, CO ,
dba Noodles & Company, 3294 Youngfield, Unit F, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
Motion by Mrs. DiCroce to waive the survey for The Noodle Shop, Co , dba "Noodles &
Company", 3294 Youngfield, Unit F, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, because the needs and desires
of the neighborhood have already been established I further move to hold a public hearing on
this application on November 12, 1998, and order the property be posted and the public
hearing be published in the Wheat Ridge Transcript; seconded by Mr Williams, carried 6-0
Item 3. Request for Show Cause Hearings.
A. Park & Pik Liquor Store, 9345 W. 44th Ave.
B El Mexicano Bar, 4105 Wadsworth Blvd
C Pigskins Sports Saloon, 10051 N 1-70 Service Road
Chief Hurst answered Authority members questions
Motion by Mr Davis that the Chief of Police be directed to write a warning letter Park & Pik
Liquor Store, seconded by Mr Williams, carried 6-0
Motion by Mr Davis to set a Show Cause Hearing for El Mexicano Bar for November 12, 1998
at 9 00 a m , seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 6-0
Motion by Mr. Williams to set a Show Cause Hearing for Pigskins for November 12, 1998 at
9.30 a.m , seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 6-0.
Item 4. Discussion of Bylaws.
After discussing several suggestions for bylaws, Chairman Wilde appointed a subcommittee of
Harry Williams, Judith DiCroce, Kent Davis, with Christa Jones to assist them, to write up
bylaws and bring them to the next meeting on October 22, 1998

Chairman Wilde stated that he had a message from Mr Mark Roberts asking for a discussion
to change the meeting times. Consensus was 4 in favor to leave the meeting time as
previously discussed and set.
Motion by Mr Williams to adjourn, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 6-0
Meeting adjourned at 9 50 a m
