The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wilde at 9 00 a m Liquor
Authority Members present: Dan Wilde, Harry Williams, Kent Davis, George Langdon, Rocco
Gioso, Judith DiCroce Frank Sanzalone was absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk,
Christa Jones, City Attorney, Gerald Dahl; Chief of Police, Jack Hurst.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF February 11, 1999
Motion by Mr Williams for approval of the Minutes of February 11, 1999, seconded by Mr
Langdon, carried 6-0
Item 1. Alleged Liquor Violation Hearing for Pink Cadillac Saloon, 12100 West 44"
Avenue, Wheat Ridge
Chief Hurst presented the alleged violations, Section 12-47-901 of the Colorado Liquor Code
and 11-54 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws City Attorney, Gerald Dahl, presented the City's
case and called Police Officer McCoy as witness
Officer McCoy was sworn in by the Chair and summarized the details of his police report of
1/18/99 (See attached report) He answered questions for the Liquor Authority, Mr Dahl,
and Mr Clifton
Dennis Clifton, owner of Pink Cadillac Saloon, was sworn in by the Chair He stated that his
employees have attended the liquor seminar provided by the City, but the bartender working
on 1/18/99 had not attended the seminar He disputed a violation of Section 12-47-901,
stating there was no proof that the involved parties had actually been served liquor at the Pink
Cadillac Saloon
Mr Dahl and Mr Clifton made closing statements
Motion by Mr Davis to find that there was a violation of Section 12-47-901 of the Colorado
Liquor Code and a violation of Section 11-54 of the Wheat Ridge Charter; seconded by Mr
Gioso, carried 6-0

Motion by Mr Davis to suspend the Liquor License for Pink Cadillac for three days,
commencing on Friday, March 26, 1999 from 8 30 a.m until Sunday, March 28, 1999 at 2 00
a.m , two days suspension will be waived, one day served will be Friday, March 26, 1999,
seconded by Mrs DiCroce, carried 6-0 City Attorney Dahl will prepare written findings
Item 2. Alleged Liquor Violation at Luke's Steak House, 4990 Kipling Street, Wheat
Ridge (Set hearing date only)
Motion by Mr Davis not to hold a hearing on the alleged liquor violation and that a letter be
sent to Luke's from the Wheat Ridge Police Department notifying them that any further
violations will be taken more seriously; seconded by Mr Gioso, carried 6-0
Item 3. Discussion of hearing request for Valley Liquors, 4992 Ward Road, Wheat
Ridge (Re-open drive-up window)
The Owner of Valley Liquors, Seung M Lee, was present with an interpreter and asked that
he be allowed to reopen the drive-up window
Motion by Mr Wilde that the Liquor Authority Chair be authorized to write a letter to Mr Seung
M Lee denying a hearing on re-opening the drive-up window; seconded by Mr Gioso, carried
6-0
Motion by Mr Williams to adjourn, seconded by Mr Davis, carried 6-0
