The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wilde at 9 00 a.m Liquor
Authority Members present: Dan Wilde, Harry Williams, Frank Sanzalone, George Langdon,
Rocco Gioso, Judith DiCroce Kent Davis was absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk,
Christa Jones and City Attorney, Gerald Dahl
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF AUGUST 26. 1999
Motion by Mr Williams for the approval of the Minutes of August 26, 1999, seconded by Mr
Sanzalone, carried 66=0
Item 1. Show Cause Hearing for Clancy's Irish Pub
Mr Dahl opened the Hearing and introduced the following exhibits into record, Notice of Show
Cause Hearing dated September 13, 1999, Certificate of Service dated September 13, 1999
and Deputy City Clerk's Memo dated October 4, 1999
Mr Ed Anderson, Attorney for the Licensee, and Joyce Woods, licensee, who was sworn in
by the Chair, admitted that a violation occurred
Motion by Mrs DiCroce that Liquor Violation, 12-47-302 occurred, seconded by Mr Wilde,
carried 6-0
Motion by Mrs DiCroce that the license issued to Clancy's be suspended for a period of 3
consecutive days, with 1 day abeyance, dates of suspension November 5 and November 6
Mr Langdon asked for an amendment to the Motion that the license be suspended for a
period of 3 consecutive days, with 2 days in abeyance, seconded by Mr Williams, carried 55=1
with Mr Gioso voting no
Motion by Mr Langdon that the date of suspension to be served be Sunday, November 7,
1999 from 8 00 a m to November 8, 1999 at 2 00 a.m, seconded by Mr Williams, carried 6=0

_ Item 2. Motion regarding meeting schedules
Motion by Mr Williams to cancel the October 28, 1999 regular Liquor Authority meeting and to
hold a regular meeting in November on the 18th at 9*00 am, seconded by Mr Wilde, carried
6-0
Item 3. 1-mile radius for Breakplace/Conoco at 12851 W 32nd Ave, Wheat Ridge
Motion by Mr Wilde to set a 1-mile radius and order a survey to establish the needs and
desires of the neighborhood and to set the public hearing date for November 18, 1999 and
order the property posted and the public hearing published in the Wheat Ridge Transcript;
seconded by Mr Williams, carried 66=0
Authority Matters
Mrs DiCroce and Mr Sanzalone attended the Wheat Ridge Police Department educational
program for restaurants and bars on October 10, 1999 Mrs DiCroce asked Mr Dahl to come
up with a written plan to see if liquor establishments can be required to attend the training
sessions In addition, the Authority asked Mr Dahl to prepare an outline of questions to ask
non English speaking applicants
Motion by Mr Williams to adjourn, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 6-0
Meeting adjourned at 10 12 a m
