LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES

The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Davis at 9 00 a m Liquor
Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge, Kent Davis, Judith DiCroce, Laura Leprino,
Frank Sanzalone, Rocco Gioso and William Snell Dan Wilde was absent due to illness
Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF January 25, 2001
Motion by Mrs DiCroce for the approval of the Minutes of January 25, 2001, seconded by Mr
Alldredge, carried 7-0
Item 1. Show Cause Hearing regarding alleged liquor code violation at Rockette Bar,
10006 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge
Item 1 was introduced by Christa Jones
City Attorney, Carmen Beery, opened the hearing by calling Officer Gallegos, Officer Fusetti
and Officer Berkowitz. All officers were sworn in by the Chair and presented the events of
November 16, 2000
Roland Hoeft, Rockette Owner and Bartender on November 16, 2000, was present and sworn
in by the Chair Mr Hoeft, spoke of the events on November 16, 2000 and stated that he did
not serve Alan Greenhagen alcohol and did not hear any disturbance outside the bar
Questions from the Authority followed
Ms Beery presented closing arguments, as did Mr Hoeft.
Motion by Mr Alldredge that a violation of Section 12-47-900(A) of the Colorado Liquor Code
has occurred and further moved to direct the City Attorney to prepare findings for this meeting
and to suspend the license for the Rockette Bar for a period of 3 days, those being March 4,
2001, March 11, 2001 and March 18, 2001, from 8 00 a m to 2 00 a m the following day;
seconded by Mr Gioso, carried 4-3 with Mr Davis, Mr Snell and Mr Sanzalone voting no

Item 2. Show Cause Hearing regarding alleged liquor code violation at El Jaliciense
Restaurant, 4105 Wadsworth Blvd , Wheat Ridge
Item 2 was introduced by Christa Jones
Thomas Dunn, Attorney for the owner, admits that a violation occurred and asked to be
allowed to present mitigating circumstances which might affect the penalty He explained that
the Restaurant normally closes at 10 00 p m but on this day they closed at 5 00 p m and held
an employee party at 10 00 p m and time got away from them He promised this would never
happen again
Motion by Mr Gioso that a violation of Section 12-47-901(5)(b)(1) of the Colorado Liquor Code
did occur; seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 7-0
Officer Berkowitz asked the Authority for one day suspension because of the number of
people drinking
Motion by Mr Gioso that the City Attorney prepare findings for this meeting and further moved
to suspend the license for El Jaliciense for a period of 2 days with 2 days held in abeyance for
6 months, seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-1 with Mr Snell voting no
Mr Gioso left at 10 30 a m
Item 3. Motion to approve the Request for Name Change from Family Fun Center Inc
5250 West 38" Ave to be called "Paradise Billiards "
Deputy Jones asked the Authority if the Chair could be authorized to sign trade name change
applications
Motion by Mr Snell to authorize the Chair to sign trade name change applications, seconded
by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0
Motion by Mr Sanzalone to adjourn, seconded by Mr Snell, carried 6-0
Meeting adjourned at 10 35 a.m
