The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Davis at 9 00 a m Liquor
Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge, Kent Davis, Judith DiCroce, Rocco Gioso,
William Snell and Dan Wilde Frank Sanzalone and Laura Leprino were absent. Also present:
Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones New Liquor Authority Members, Karen Berry, John Miks
and William Peterson were in the audience
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF February 22, 2001
Motion by Mr Gioso for the approval of the Minutes of February 22, 2001, seconded by Mrs
DiCroce, carried 5-0 with Mr Wilde abstaining
Motion by Mrs DiCroce to hear Item 7 first; seconded by Mr Wilde, carried 6-0
Item 7. Discussion of request by Officer Berkowitz to ask City Council to pass an
Ordinance making the liquor training class mandatory in order to obtain and hold
a liquor license in the City of Wheat Ridge
Officer Berkowitz explained to the authority why he would like to have the liquor training class
mandatory for liquor licensees in the City of Wheat Ridge
Discussion with the Authority followed
Motion by Mrs DiCroce to have input from the City Attorney before proceeding, seconded by
Mr Gioso, carried 6-0
Item 1. Application for modification of Premises for "Mi Cabana Inn", 7630 West 44`h
Avenue, Wheat Ridge
Item 1 was introduced by Christa Jones
Owner, Aurora Iniguez, and an interpreter were present and described the proposed change
to the Liquor Authority
Motion by Mr Wilde for approval of the modification of premises for Mi Cabana Inn, 7630 West
44 'h Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, seconded by Mrs DiCroce, carried 6-0

Item 2. Application for Special Events Permit from the Arts Council of Wheat Ridge for
March 23, 2001
Item 2 was introduced by Christa Jones
Roseanne Gehauf, Treasurer for the Arts Council, was present and explained the Special
Event request.
Motion by Mr Snell for approval of the Special Events Permit for the Arts Council of Wheat
Ridge for the dispensing of malt, vinous and spirituous liquor during the appreciation dinner at
the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center on March 23, 2001 from 6 00 p m to 10 00 p m and
further moved to authorize the Chair to sign the application for the Special Events Permit;
seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0
Item 3. Application for Special Events Permit from the Rotary Club of Wheat Ridge for
May 11, 2001
Item 3 was introduced by Christa Jones
Applicants, Walt Petit and Dick Matthews, explained that this is an annual event that benefits
the Rotary Club's scholarship fund, as well as the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center
Motion by Mr Gioso for approval of the Special Events Permit for the Rotary Club of Wheat
Ridge, at the location of the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling Street, Wheat
Ridge, to dispense Malt, Vinous and Spirituous Liquor on May 11, 2001 from 5 00 p m to
1000 p m and further moved to authorized the Chair to sign the application for the Special
Events Permit; seconded by Mr Wilde, carried 6-0
Item 4 Application for a Transfer of Ownership from REV Inc., dba "Marc's" 6920 West
38th Avenue, to Virgo's Restaurants, Inc
Christa Jones outlined the proposed change of ownership to the Liquor Authority
Applicant, Claron E Ashburn, was present and stated that he would be happy to attend the
liquor classes
Motion by Mr Wilde for approval of the Transfer of Ownership from R E V, Inc, dba Marc's,
6920 West 38`h Avenue, Wheat Ridge, to Virgo's Restaurants, Inc for the following reasons
1 All applications have been filed and fees have been paid
2 Applicant is in possession of the premises by virtue of a lease dated January 26,
2001
3 Applicant has been cleared by the police department;
seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0

Item 5. Motion to accept findings for Rockette Bar and authorize the Chair and Clerk to
sign the paperwork.
Motion by Mrs DiCroce to accept the findings for the Rockette Bar and to authorize the Chair
and Clerk to sign the paperwork; seconded by Mr Wilde, carried 5-1 with Mr Snell voting no
Item 6. Motion to accept findings for El Jaliciense Restaurant and authorize the Chair
and Clerk to sign the paperwork.
Motion by Mr Gioso to accept the findings for El Jaliciense Restaurant and to authorize the
Chair and Clerk to sign the paperwork; seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0.
Item 8 Motion to cancel the March 22, 2001 Liquor Authority Meeting in order to allow
time to swear in the new members and have them attend their liquor training
class.
Motion by Mr. Wilde to cancel the March 22, 2001 Liquor Authority Meeting in order to allow
time to swear in the new members and have them attend their liquor training class, seconded
by Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0
The new Liquor Authority Members, Karen Berry, John Miks and William Peterson were
present at the meeting and introduced to the Authority The Police Training Class for the new
members has been scheduled for March 15, 2001, 9 00 a m to 11 00 a m in the Police
Training Room
Motion by Mr Gioso to adjourn, seconded by Mr Wilde, carried 6-0
