HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/28/2002LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Municipal Building February 28, 2002 The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Davis at 9 00 a m Liquor Authority Members present: Kent Davis, Judith DiCroce, John Miks, William Snell, Robert Alldredge, Frank Sanzalone and William Peterson Karen Berry was absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF February 14, 2002 Motion by Mrs DiCroce for the approval of the Minutes of February 14, 2002, seconded by Mr Snell, carried 7-0. Item 1. Public Hearing on application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License for Country Cafe, 3291 Youngfield Service Road, Wheat Ridge Michael Schiatta, Applicant was present and answered the Authorities questions Motion by Mr Peterson for approval of the application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License for Mikca, Inc, dba "Country Cafe', 3291 Youngfield Service Road, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, for the following reasons 1 All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid 2 Notice of hearing and posting of the premises have been accomplished according to statutory requirements 3 The applicant is entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a signed lease dated December 10, 2001 4 The applicant has been cleared by the Police Department; seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 7-0 Item 2. Motion to reschedule Show Cause Hearing for Pigskins to March 28, 2002 Motion by Mr Miks to hold the Show Cause Hearing for Pigskins, which was scheduled for February 28, 2002, to March 28, 2002, at the licensee's request, and further moved that on March 28, 2002, a motion will be considered to either renew the license for Pigskins or deny renewal of their license, and further moved that the City Attorney inform the licensee's attorney of this motion, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 7-0 WHEAT RIDGE LIQUOR AUTHORITY MINUTES FEBRUARY 28 2002 page 2 Item 3 Motion to approve the Findings for Sports Page Saloon, 4111 Kipling Street, and authorize the Chair and Clerk to sign and forward the findings Motion by Mr Alldredge for approval of the Findings for Sports Page Saloon and authorized the Chair and Clerk to sign and forward the findings, seconded by Mr Peterson, carried 7-0 Motion by Mr Peterson to adjourn, seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 7-0.
