Chair Judy DiCroce called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 9 00 a.m
Liquor Authority Members present: Judith DiCroce, John Miks, Frank
Sanzalone(arrived at 9 03 a.m William Peterson, Karen Berry, Robert
Alldredge, Kent Davis and William Snell Also present: Deputy City Clerk,
Christa Jones
Motion by Mr Miks for approval of the Minutes of June 27, 2002, seconded by
Mr Alldredge, carried 6-0 with Mr Davis abstaining
Item 1 Approval of Findings for Valley Liquors, 4992 Ward Road, Wheat
Ridge
Motion by Mr Davis for the approval of the attached findings and authorized the
Liquor Authority Chair and Clerk to sign the paperwork and forward the findings
to the licensee, seconded by Mrs Berry; carried 8-0.
Item 2 Application for a new Tavern Liquor License for Port 44, Inc., dba
"Long Shots Bar & Grill", 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge
(1-mile radius and posting and publishing only)
Deputy Jones gave a brief summary of the applicant's request.
Motion by Mr Alldredge to set the public hearing date for October 10, 2002 and
ordered the property posted and the public hearing published in the Wheat
Ridge Transcript. This will serve as notice to the residents of the area, seconded
by Mrs. Berry, carried 8-0
Item 3. Application for a new Tavern Liquor License for J L.K., Inc , dba
The Pauz Inn, 4111 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Deputy Jones gave a brief summary of the applicant's request.

Motion by Mr Davis to set the public hearing date for October 10, 2002 and
ordered the property posted and the public hearing published in the Wheat
Ridge Transcript. This will serve as notice to the residents of the area, seconded
by Mrs Berry-, carried 8-0
Item 4 Alleged Municipal Code Violations at: Pigskins Bar, 10051 N 1-70
Service Road, Wheat Ridge
The Authority reviewed the violations outlined in Officer Steven Berkowitz's
memos
Motion by Mrs Berry to order a Show Cause Hearing for Pigskins Bar regarding
the alleged violations of Wheat Ridge Code of Laws, Section 11-54 (Notification
of certain conduct in Licensed Premises) and 16-127 (e) (serving a visibly
intoxicated person) and to hold the hearing on Thursday, October 10, at 10 00
a m , and further moved that the City Attorney be directed to prepare the
necessary paperwork for a show cause hearing, seconded by Mr Miks, carried
8-0
Motion by Mrs Berry for an amendment to the motion adding that Pigskin's cook
and waitress be subpoenaed for testimony at the hearing, seconded by Mr
Alldredge, amendment carried 8-0
Mr Davis asked that staff notify Special Event Applicants that State and City
Licenses must be clearly posted at their Special Events
Motion to adjourn carried 8-0
Meeting adjourned at 9 20 a.m.
