March 13, 2003
Chair Judith DiCroce called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 9 00 a.m Liquor
Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge, Frank Sanzalone, John Miks, Kent Davis,
Anthony Davia, Brenda Locricchio and Judy DiCroce Also present: Deputy City Clerk,
Christa Jones
Newly sworn in members, Brenda Locricchio and Anthony Davia, were not permitted to cast
votes because they have not completed a course or class of training as outlined in
Ordinance 1119, Establishment of a Liquor Licensing Authority which states
G All members of the Licensing Authority must complete a course or class of
training approved by the City in the laws and regulations governing alcohol
beverage sales before becoming a voting member on the Licensing
Authority
Motion by Mr Davis for approval of the Minutes of February 13, 2003, seconded by Mr
Alldredge, carried 5-0
Item 1 Approval of Findings for Long Shots, 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge
Motion by Mr. Miks for approval of Findings for Long Shots, 4400 Ward Road, Wheat
Ridge, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0
Item 2. Public Hearing on application for a new Tavern Liquor License for Mox Nix,
LLC , dba "Sam's", 10051 1-70 Frontage Road North, Wheat Ridge, Colorado
(Formerly Pigskins)
Deputy Jones introduced Item 2
Applicant, Rebecca Steinmark, was present and was sworn in by the Chair
Mrs Steinmark stated that she has had prior experience in the bar business She also
services bar establishments with amusement machines Upon opening "Sam's", Mrs
Steinmark stated the following

• They will give the employees a "clean slate" and allow
them to stay on despite being involved in prior liquor
violations
• A class will be set up for all employees with Officer
Berkowitz
• Mrs Steinmark will be the operating manager and she will
divide her time between daylight and evening hours
Motion by Mr Miks for approval of the application for a new Tavern Liquor License for Mox
Nix, LLC , dba "Sam's", 10051 1-70 Frontage Road North, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, for the
following reasons
1) All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid
2) Notice of hearing and posting of the premises have been accomplished according to
statutory requirements
3) The applicant is entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a signed lease
dated January 5, 2003
4) The applicant has been cleared by the Police Department.
5) Issuance of this license does not impact the neighborhood
Seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0
Chair DiCroce notified the Authority that newly appointed Authority member, Darrell Lane,
has resigned
Deputy Jones stated that the next meeting on April 10, 2003, will be a training session for
the new Authority Members
Meeting adjourned at 9.15 a.m
