HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/10/2003LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Municipal Building April 10, 2003 Chair Judith DiCroce called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 9 00 a m Liquor Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge, Frank Sanzalone, John Miks, Kent Davis, Anthony Davia, Brenda Locricchio and Judy DiCroce Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones Liquor Authority Members, Brenda Locricchio and Anthony Davia, were not permitted to cast votes because they have not completed a course or class of training as outlined in Ordinance 1119, Establishment of a Liquor Licensing Authority which states G All members of the Licensing Authority must complete a course or class of training approved by the City in the laws and regulations governing alcohol beverage sales before becoming a voting member on the Licensing Authority lft~ Motion by Mr Davis for approval of the Minutes of March 13, 2003, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0 Item 1 Modification of Premises and Changes of Name from "Marc's", 6920 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, to "Rumours" Deputy Christa Jones introduced Item 1 Applicant, Mr. Ashburn, was sworn in by the Chair and explained the proposed changes, which include adding a dance floor that will have jazz & blues music and a disk jockey The hours of operation will remain the same from 11 00 a.m to 2 00 a.m. and he doesn't see a problem meeting the 25% food sale quota Motion by Mr Davis for approval of the Change of Name from "Marc's" to "Rumours" and further authorized the Manned modification of premises for Virgo's Restaurants, Inc , dba Marc's, 6920 West 38t Avenue, Wheat Ridge, seconded by Mr Alldredge, carried 5-0 LIQUOR AUTHORITY MINUTES April 14, 2003 PG -2 Item 2 Modification of Premises for Port 44, Inc. dba "Long Shots Bar & Grill", 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge Deputy Jones introduced Item 2 Applicants, James Frisk and Jeremy Frisk were sworn in by the Chair The Applicants explained the proposed changes outlined on their drawing, which include closing in a patio area. They also asked for approval of a six-foot fence that is going to be installed around the horseshoe pit. Since this addition is not on this modification, the Authority asked if the building department was aware of this addition The applicants stated that they are working with the building department but it has not yet been approved Motion by Mr Alldredge for approval of the Modification of Premises for Port 44, Inc , dba Long Shots Bar & Grill, 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge, subject to approval of the Building Department's approval of the horse shoe pit area that is not included in this drawing, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0 Chair DiCroce mentioned that a new Chair will need to be appointed at the next meeting Meeting adjourned to the Liquor Authority's Training Session at 9.25 a.m Christa Jones, Deput' City Clerk APPROVED BY THE AUTHORITY ON May 8, 2003 BY A VOTE OF 6 TO o Judy DiCroce, Liquor Authority Chair
