HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/28/2003LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Municipal Building August 28, 2003 Chairman Kent Davis called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 9 00 a.m Liquor Authority Members present: Kent Davis, Anthony Davia, Robert Alldredge, Brenda Locricchio and Frank Sanzalone John Miks and Judy DiCroce were absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones Motion by Mr Alldredge for approval of the Minutes of July 24, 2003, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0. Item 1 Modification of Premises for Vern's Restaurant and Lounge, 7605 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado Deputy Jones introduced Item 1 and stated that she checked with the State and was advised to handle modification of premises for one day events this way Tom Little, owner of Vern's Restaurant and Lounge, explained that this is an Annual Car Show be held in the parking lot on Sunday, September 21, 2003 The other businesses in the shopping area will be closed, freeing up over 100 parking spots. He would like to serve tap beer outside in the parking lot that he will fence off Food will also be served and he has his own security that will be on the site for this event. Motion by Mr Alldredge for approval of the Modification of Premises for Vern's Restaurant and Lounge, 7605 West 44th Avenue, Unit F, Wheat Ridge, CO, to allow tap beer to be served in the parking lot on September 21, 2003 from 9 00 a m. to 3 00 p m , seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0 Motion by Mr Alldredge for approval of the Modification of Premises for Vern's Restaurant and Lounge, to revert the premises back to the way they were prior to September 21, 2003, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 5-0 Item 2 Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at "Long Shots", 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge A discussion was held LIUUUK AU I HUKI I Y MINU I Eb AUUUb 1 26, 2UW HAUL 2 Motion by Mr Alldredge that the City of Wheat Ridge take no action on this matter, but that the Chief of Police send a warning letter to the owners of the establishment and that a letter from the Chair be written concerning appropriate signage around the building and at the exits, and the Authority's concern of adequate number of employees able to monitor their customers, seconded by Mr Davia, carried 5-0 Meeting adjourned at 9:20 a.m Christa Jones, Deputy City Clerk APPROVED BY THE AUTHORITY ON -1 2003 BY A VOTE OF TO Kent Davis, Liquor Authority Chair
