October 27, 2005
Chairman Alldredge called the Liquor Authority Meeting of October 27, 2005
to order at 9 00 a.m Liquor Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge,
Frank Sanzolone, Kent Davis, John Miks, Anthony Davia, Judith DiCroce and
David Berry Brenda Locricchio was absent. Also present: City Clerk, Pam
Anderson
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF October 13, 2005
Motion by Mrs DiCroce for the Approval of the Minutes of October 13, 2005,
seconded by Mr Sanzolone, carried 7-0
Item 1. Application for Change of Corporate Officers for Port 44, Inc , d b a
Long Shots Bar & Grill, 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge, Colorado
City Clerk, Pam Anderson introduced Item 1
George Nichols, Attorney for Mr Beau Speicher, distributed documents to the
Liquor Authority Documents were entered into record
Sergeant Balafas reported on the background check for Beau Speicher dated
September 28, 2005
James Frisk, Owner of Long Shots Bar & Grill, spoke on behalf of Mr Speicher
Questions from the Authority followed
Motion by Mrs DiCroce to approve Beau Speicher as 20% stockholder and new
officer for Port 44, Inc , d b.a Long Shots Bar & Grill, 4400 Ward Road, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, and authorize the Liquor Authority Chair and Deputy City Clerk
to sign the Corporate Report of Changes and forward it to the Colorado
Department of Revenue, seconded by Mr Milks, carried 6-1 with Mr Berry voting
no
Item 2. Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at Bradley's, 7403 West
38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge
Pam Anderson, City Clerk, introduced Item 2
Sergeant Balafas presented the staff report and recommended a Show Cause
Hearing
Motion by Mr Miks that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be
prepared by the City Attorney and executed by the Chair and Deputy City Clerk
and be issued to the owners of Bradley's, 7403 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of Alleged Code
Violation, the hearing is to be scheduled for November 10, 2005 at 9 00 a m ,
seconded by Mr Sanzolone, carried 7-0
Item 3. Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at Gold's Corner Grocery
Store, 10021 West 26th Avenue, Wheat Ridge
Pam Anderson, City Clerk, introduced Item 3
Sergeant Balafas presented the staff report and recommended a warning letter
Motion by Mrs DiCroce that the City of Wheat Ridge take no formal action on
this matter, but that the Chief of Police send a warning letter to the owner of the
establishment and further moved that liquor training classes be required,
seconded by Mr Davia, carried 4-3 with Mr Alldredge, Mr Davis and Mr Berry
voting no
Item 4. Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at Stan's Caravan, 11221
West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge

Sergeant Balafas had nothing to add at this time
Motion by Mr Davis that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be
prepared by the City Attorney and executed by the Chair and Deputy City Clerk
and be issued to the owners of Stan's Caravan, 11221 West 44th Avenue, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of
Alleged Code Violation, and that the hearing be scheduled for November 10,
2005 at 11 00 a m , seconded by Mr Sanzolone, carried 7-0.
Item 5. Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at Pauz Inn, 4111 Kipling
Street, Wheat Ridge

Sergeant Balafas presented the report.
Motion by Mr Davia that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be
prepared by the City Attorney and executed by the Chair and Deputy City Clerk
and be issued to the owners of Pauz Inn, 4111 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of Alleged Code
Violation and that the hearing be scheduled for December 8, 2005 at 9 00 a m ,
seconded by Mr Miks, carried 7-0.
Item 6. Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation at Rambling Rose, 10080
West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge

Sergeant Balafas present the report.
Motion by Mrs DiCroce that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be
prepared by the City Attorney and executed by the Chair and Deputy City Clerk
and be issued to the owners of Rambling Rose, 10080 West 44th Avenue, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of
Alleged Code Violation and the hearing is to be scheduled for December 8, 2005
at 10 00 a.m , seconded by Mr Davis, carried 6-1 with Mr Alldredge voting no
Mr Davis requested that a memo from the Chair be sent to the City Council
Members regarding the Authority's denial of a Liquor License for the Eldorado
Club
