The Liquor Authority Meeting of January 10, 2008 was called to order by
Chairman Berry at 9:00 a.m. Liquor Authority Members present: Robert
Alldredge; David Berry; Anthony Davia; Kent Davis; Judith DiCroce; John Miks;
Carolyn Peterson; Frank Sanzalone was absent. Also present: Deputy City
Clerk, Christa Jones.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF December 13, 2008
Motion by Mr. Miks for approval of the Minutes of December 13, 2007; seconded
by Mrs. DiCroce; carried 6-0 with Mr. Alldredge abstaining.
Item 1. Public Hearing on Application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor
License for LaPiazza an Italian Restaurant, Inc., 10160 West 50th
Avenue, #8, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
(Postponed from December 13, 2007)
Chairman Berry continued with the public hearing from December 13, 2007.
Motion by Mr. Miks to approve the application for a new Hotel & Restaurant
Liquor License for LaPiazza an Italian Restaurant, Inc., 10160 West 50th
Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, for the following reasons:
(1) All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid.
(2) Notice of hearing and posting of the premises have been accomplished
according to statutory requirements.
(3) The applicant is entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a
lease, dated February 16, 2007.
(4) The applicants have been cleared by the Police Department and CBI.
(5) The evidence adduced at the Public Hearing on December 13, 2007
established that no testimony against the application was submitted
and that issuance of this license is consistent with the needs of the
neighborhood under consideration.
Seconded by Mr. Davis; carried 6-0 with Mr. Alldredge abstaining.

Item 2. Discussion and decision regarding letter to CBI.
Motion by Mr. Davis to send the letter as drafted to the CBI; seconded by Mr.
Alldredge; carried 5-2 with Mr. Miks and Mr. Berry voting no.
Meeting adjourned at 9:22 a.m.
