July 10, 2008
The Liquor Authority Meeting of July 10, 2008 was called to order by Chair
Carolyn Peterson at 9:00 a.m. Liquor Authority Members present: Robert
Alldredge; Anthony Davia; Kent Davis; Judith DiCroce; John Miks; and Carolyn
Peterson. David Berry and Frank Sanzalone were absent. Also present: Deputy
City Clerk, Christa Jones.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF June 26, 2008
Motion by Mr. Miks for approval of the Minutes of June 26, 2008; seconded by
Mr. Davia; carried 6-0.
Item 1. Application for Transfer of Ownership from Parker Services LLC,
d.b.a. "Spitfire Lounge", 12100 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, to
D Clark LLC, d.b.a. "Catch 22 Lounge".
Christa Jones presented the staff report.
Applicant Dwayne Clark was present to answer questions.
Motion by Mr. Davis to approve the Transfer of Ownership from Parker Services
LLC, d.b.a. "Spitfire Lounge", 12100 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, to D Clark
LLC, d.b.a. "Catch 22 Lounge", for the following reasons:
1. All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid.
2. The applicant will be entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a
signed lease dated May, 2008.
1 further move that the applicant be issued a temporary Tavern Liquor License;
seconded by Mr. Alldrege; carried 6-0.

Item 2. Application for a new Tavern Liquor License from A.J. Jel
Enterprises, Inc., d.b.a. "Smokin' Joe's Bar & Grill", 4700 Kipling
Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. (Formerly Jammin' Joe's)
(Set public hearing date only)
Christa Jones presented the staff report.
Motion by Mr. Miks to set a public hearing date for Thursday, July 24, 2008 at
9:00 a.m. and order the property posted and the public hearing published in the
Wheat Ridge Transcript; seconded by Mrs. DiCroce; carried 6-0.
Item 3. Motion by Mr. Davis to accept the findings for Gas Plus, Inc. d.b.a.
Gas Plus, 6595 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge; seconded by Mr. Davia;
carried 6-0.
Item 4. Motion by Mr. Alldredge to accept the findings for LEJJA
Enterprises, Inc., d.b.a. "Jammin' Joe's", 4700 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge;
seconded by Mr. Miks; carried 6-0.
Item 5. Motion by Mr. Miks to accept the findings for Port 44, Inc., d.b.a.
"Long Shots Bar & Grill", 4400 Ward Road, Wheat Ridge; seconded
by Mr. Davia; carried 6-0.
Meeting adjourned at 9:14 a.m.
