a.m. Liquor Authority Members present: Anthony Davia Robert Alldredge Carolyn Peterson Paul Shaver Kent Davis Claudia Worth John Miks Frank Sanzalone Also present: Deputy City Clerk,
Bruce Roome; City Attorney, Chris Price; Sgt. Tracy Wardell, Wheat Ridge Police; staff; interested citizens. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF Apri126, 2012 Motion by Mr. Davis for approval of
the minutes of April26, 2012; seconded by Mrs. Peterson; carried 7-0-1 with Mr. Miks abstaining. Item 1. Change of Corporate Structure for SG Ventures, LLC dba "Stan's Caravan", 11221
West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado Deputy City Clerk Roome introduced the Item and provided the summary. Mr. Dan Carr representing Ms. Chrisp provided the Authority with a letter
of apology for the inconsistencies with her original application and for the extra work that it caused City staff. On behalf of the Liquor Authority Mr. Davia accepted the apology. Ms.
Chrisp and Mr. Carr answered questions from the Liquor Authority members. Item 2. Modification of Premises application from Cebiche Authentic Peruvian Dining LLC dba "Cebiche Authentic
Peruvian Dining", 7000 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado Deputy City Clerk Roome introduced the Item and provided the summary.
Sergio lraola, owner, was present to answer questions from the Liquor Authority members. Motion by Mr. Miks to approve the Modification of Premises for Cebiche Authentic Peruvian Dining
LLC dba "Cebiche Authentic Peruvian Dining", 7000 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado; seconded by Mr. Davis; carried 6-2 with Mrs. Worth and Mr. Shaver voting no Item 3. Public Hearing
on application for a new Brew Pub Liquor License from Liquid Art Works Inc., d.b.a. "Colorado+Liquid Art Works", 6995 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado Deputy City Clerk Roome introduced
the Item and provided the summary. Max Scott, owner of Oedipus, Inc. provided the report of the Neighborhood Needs and Desires survey. Eugene Khang, owner, and Kris Hoeltgen, attorney,
1st Security Escrow Company LLC were present to answer questions from the Liquor Authority members. Public Comment: Mark Valente, current owner of 6995 W. 38th Ave, spoke in favor of
issuance of the license. Justin Vogel, owner of Right Coast Pizza, 7100 W. 38th Ave. spoke in favor of issuance of the license. Janeece Hoppe, owner of Compass Construction, 7018 W.
38th Ave spoke in favor of issuance of the license. Motion by Mr. Alldredge to approve the application for a new Retail Liquor Store License from Liquid Art Works Inc., d.b.a. "Colorado+Liquid
Art Works", 6995 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado for the following reasons: (1) All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid. (2) Notice of hearing and
posting of the premises have been accomplished according to statutory requirements. (3) The applicant is entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a purchase agreement dated
February 14, 2012. (4) The applicant has been cleared by the Police Department.
(5) The evidence established that the desires of the residents of the neighborhood under consideration are in support of granting this license. This is evidenced by petitions bearing:
195 signatures favoring issuance and 6 signature opposing issuance. (6) Issuance of this license is consistent with the needs of the neighborhood under consideration. WITH THE FOLLOWING
RECOMMENDATION: 1) It is recommended that the applicant attend a Liquor Licensee training class along with any employees offered by the Wheat Ridge Police Department. Seconded by Mr.
Sanzalone; carried 8-0 Item 4. Request for a Show Cause Hearing for alleged Code of Laws Violation at Prk-N-Pik Liquor, 9345 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge. Deputy City Clerk Roome introduced
the Item and provided a summary. Motion by Mr. Shaver that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be prepared by the City Attorney, executed by the Chair and City Clerk's Office
and issued to the owners of Prk-N-Pik Liquor, 9345 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation; seconded
by Mr. Alldredge; carried 8-0 The hearing is to be scheduled for July 26, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Item 5. Request for a Show Cause Hearing for alleged Code of Laws Violation at Super America
dba The Everyday Store, 5990 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge. Deputy City Clerk Roome introduced the Item and provided a summary. Motion by Mr. Davis that a Notice of Hearing and Order to
Show Cause be prepared by the City Attorney, executed by the Chair and City Clerk's Office and issued to the owners of Super America dba The Everyday Store, 5990 W. 38th Avenue, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, based on allegations contained in the attached Notice of Alleged Liquor Code Violation; seconded by Mrs. Peterson ; carried 8-0 The hearing is to be scheduled for July
26, 2012 at 9:00a.m. Item 6. Modification of Premises application from Copper Fields Event Chateau dba "Copper Fields Event Chateau", 4901 Marshall Street, Wheat Ridge. Deputy City Clerk
Roome introduced the Item.
Melissa Lycan, event manager, was present to answer questions from the Liquor Authority members. Motion by Mr. Alldredge to approve the Modification of Premises for Copper Fields Event
Chateau dba "Copper Fields Event Chateau", 4901 Marshall Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado; seconded by Mrs. Worth; carried 8-0 City Clerk Mr. Roome along with Sgt. Wardell informed the
Liquor Authority members that the Police Department has decided to let liquor licensees seek alternate methods of education. The Police Department will compile a list an accepted vendor
which will include the Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division and licensees can choose when and where to attend. Meeting adjourned at 10:10 am. Bruce Roome, Deputy City Clerk APPROVED
