Notice of Special Meeting of City Council
Please take notice that pursuant to a request by the Mayor under Home Rule Charter
Section 5.2, the Wheat Ridge City Council will meet on Monday, May 2, 2016 following
the regular! y scheduled Study Session in the Co unci I Chambers of the Wheat Ridge
Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The agenda for the
meeting will be as fo llows:
1. CaJlto order and roll call.
2. Appointment of DIRT Task Force Committee.

Given and posted this 281h day of April, 2016, on the City·s website and in the lobby of
the Wheat Ridge Municipal Building in accordance with Section 5.12(h) of the Home
Rule Charter.

The Wheat Ridge City Council wishes to reestablish a DIRT (drainage, infrastructure, roads and
trails) task force to review and prioritize a list of critical, unfunded public infrastructure projects.
Council is seeking a diverse group of residents willing to provide an objective recommendation
regarding whi ch DfRT projects are the most cri tical for the community and should be funded.
Two Wheat Ridge residents will be chosen by the City Council to represent each of the Council
districts and to serve on the task force for a limited time during the month of May, 2016.
FINANC IAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND :
A DIRT task force was previously established in 2007 and provided similar recommendations to
the City Councilmembers serving at that time.
RECOMMENDED MOTIONS:
