Installation of the retaining walls was documented by photographs and compaction testing. These records were then provided to our office. A summary of critical items observed is listed below: 1) The leveling pad consisted of "-minus, free -draining aggregate, approximately 6" thick. 2) All segmental retaining wall units used to construct the retaining wall were Allan Block units. 3) The required burial depth of the bottom of the walls appeared to be met. 4) The maximum constructed height of the retaining walls did not exceed the retaining wall design heights shown on our plans. 5) Geogrid reinforcement was the correct type and appeared to have been installed correctly. 6) Drainage stone and CDOT Class 1 Structural Fill reinforced backfill was used per plan. 7) The drains behind the block facing were in place. Following the observations, the retaining wall appeared to be in general conformance with the Retaining Wall Design prepared by this office, dated July 23, 2020. MAGNEHELIC GAUGES Pressure readings are taken with these instruments supplied by DWYER INSTRUMENTS, INC. Ranges are from 0.50" W.C. to 5.0" W.C. HYDRONIC MANOMETER A ALNOR HM -650 meter is used for differential and gage water pressure readings. Read-out is digital. All instruments represent the best instrumentation available, are new or have been calibrated in accordance with manufacture's requirements. Additional information on all instrumentation is available upon request. The data on the following pages represent final measurements for each system. All measurements were made using manufacturer's recommended procedures for each instrument. Each footing was inspected to ensure correct rebar size and fit, as well as overall footing dimensions. From what I observed, all footings had the correct fitted rebar, as well as the correct overall dimensions, per the plans. This includes the footings that needed to be corrected from yesterday (A-3, A-5, A-6, B-8). The footing between F-7 and F-6 was corrected as well. The correct splice length and 3" clearance was maintained throughout the foundation.
