TITLE: A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING MAIN ENTRANCE AS THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE POSTING LOCATION AND THE JEFFCO TRANSCRIPT AS
THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION FOR CITY PUBLICATIONS IN 2020
WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes require municipalities to designate official public notice and publication locations for legal notices; and
WHEREAS, such locations must be approved by the governing body of the municipality annually; and
WHEREAS, the City is required by Charter, Ordinance and state law to publish
certain notices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
Section 1. Public notice of public meetings of the City Council, Planning
Commission, Board of Adjustment, and all other Board, Commission, Committee, and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required, shall be posted at the main entrance to the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for
the City.
Section 2. Except as otherwise permitted by Sections 5.2 and 5.12 of the Charter, notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City, shall be made in the Jeffco Transcript; except
that, where circumstances make publication ineffective or otherwise undesirable,
the City may publish official notice on the City’s website.
Section 3. This resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution No. 02-2020 and shall be effective upon adoption.
