RESOLUTION NO. 01-2024
A RESOLUTION ASSIGNING DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE REGARDING CERTAIN LIQUOR LICENSING MATTERS
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Liquor Licensing Authority (the “Authority”) is no longer comprised of a resident board, but rather an appointed Administrative Hearing Officer;
WHEREAS, the Administrative Hearing Officer wishes to create efficiencies in the liquor licensing applications and approval processes; and
WHEREAS, it is standard industry practice to allow the City Clerk’s Office to perform certain duties regarding the liquor licensing process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, THAT
All public hearings, including those required for New Liquor License Applications, Show Cause Hearings, Applications for Changes of Location, Objections to Special Event Permits, and Administrative Appeals shall be scheduled to be heard by the Administrative Hearing Officer.
Approval or denial of all other applications regarding liquor licensing or liquor permitting shall be the responsibility of the City Clerk’s Office.
The City Clerk’s Office has the right to refer any liquor licensing matters to the Administrative Hearing Officer.
