RESOLUTION NO. 11
SERIES OF 2025
TITLE: A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 2J NEXT
CHAPTER FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT THE APPROVAL OF A
SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,911,963 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ISSUING A CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO AYRES ASSOCIATES, INC. AND
APPROVING SUBSEQUENT PAYMENTS FOR THE 38TH AVENUE WEST
CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City recognizes the importance of improving city streets and
providing multi-modal facilities in various locations to allow for improved and safer
mobility; and
WHEREAS, Ayres Associates, Inc. provided a proposal to complete design services
for the 38th Avenue West Corridor Improvement Project which will provide improved transportation options and improved stormwater facilities; and
WHEREAS, insufficient appropriations in the 2025 2J Next Chapter Fund exist to
cover these expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the
budget be affected by the City Council adopting a resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO THAT:
Section 1. A transfer of $1,911,963 is hereby approved from the 2J Next
Chapter Fund undesignated reserves to account 66-103-700-750 and the 2025 revenues
are amended accordingly.
Section 2. A contract in an amount not to exceed $1,911,963, comprising
$1,738,163 base and $174,800 in contingency funds, and subsequent payments is hereby
approved for professional services with Ayres Associates, Inc.
