RESOLUTION NO. 15
SERIES OF 2025
TITLE: A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2025 FISCAL YEAR GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT THE APPROVAL OF A SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM COLORADO GIVES
FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Homeless Navigation Program engages with
people experiencing homelessness within Wheat Ridge and Edgewater to provide basic
needs and referral services, as well as housing-focused case management; and
WHEREAS, Colorado Gives Foundation awards Jefferson County-serving
nonprofits and municipalities grant funds to be used for community needs; and
WHEREAS, in 2025, Colorado Gives Foundation has awarded the City of Wheat
Ridge Homeless Navigation Program $25,000 in funds to be used for unrestricted
operational support; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the 2025 Colorado Gives Foundation
funds for the aforementioned homeless navigation purposes, as set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Wheat Ridge hereby accepts the 2025 Colorado Gives Foundation
grant funding in the amount of $25,000 for the outlined purposes.
2. A transfer of $25,000 is hereby approved from the General Fund undesignated reserves to account 01-114-650-660 and the 2025 revenues are amended accordingly.
