Aldermen attendin3 were Ray Pepe, Robert Eckhart , Calvin 'lulsey, Robert Howard and Dan."]. :]rlUl ing (later). Others attending were: Mayor \nderson, Clerk Louise Turner, \ttorneys Anthony V. Zarlengo and Haurice Fox; Gary Latham; applicants for, attorney for 3pplicants, and citizens interested in Li1uor and 3.2 beer licenses, and other citizens. One rezoning case at 4Jrd & Iris Court "'as presented by Gary Latham. 569-123 Requests a chan~e from A-I to R-3 on 6.9 acres for multiple family units. Proposed rezoning is in confl ict ,.Ji th County plan which recommends 1m" density. Problems exist in that there is only 90' frontage and access is not adequate. Alderman Eckhardt questioned the ownership of open area to the \iest and possibility of utilizin,j access from the Hest and recommended that the planning staff contact the applicant in that regard. Carney presented a certificate shmling that Safe'.Vay is authorized to do business in the State and suggested that obtaining the finger prints required and the \rticles of Incorporation presented a problem in the case of Safewav. Hr. ;-lalter Johnson reported that Citizen request, and purchase order forms are nm'l on hand for use. A committee made up of Alderman lImmrd, .\lderman Ilulsey, and Hr. Nelson Jennett ,vas appointed to meet with Hr. Hac Ivor and report on Federal Lmv Enforcement Assistance on September 30. During a discussion of the bud~et led by Hr. Halter Johnson the followin~ subjects were brought up: The certified evaluation of $55, $225, $220; the possibility of contracting with the County for street maintenance; recreation; the Wheat Ridge Youth Council; a Financial System; auditor; income from licensing and contracting with the sheriff. Mr. Zarlengo discussed a special offense ordinance stating that he would like to do more work on it and then recommend an existing one which might be adopted by reference. Mr. Haurice Fox, City Attorney, stated that the City Attorney should be on a retainer, that the fee for a prosecutor should be separate and that there should be a contingency fund.
