Motion by Robert ":owa d, 2nd ly Alderman BovJling "That the 3.2 beer license hearing for Shfeway be postponed until November 11, as requested by Attorney Thomas Cm'ney". Passed 4_ri. Motion was made by Alderman Bowline, 2nd bv Ald errJ.an Eckhardt tha t rezoning case B-69-l0' be tabled for one week as requested by Attorney Ben Loye. Passed 4-0. Rezoning case B-69-l2~ Gary Latham stated the status of open ground to the 'Nest of area involved had not been explored. Mrs. Ella P. Stohl of 4265 Iris 2treet stated opposition to the rezoning or: the \'Bsis of the additional traffic which would be brought throup'h a narrow strpet in B residential neighborhood. Alderman Eckhard t stated it migh t be reasonp'blp to put a house on the south end of the oroperty and develoI' north of it with access from within east or west. !a. Harry A. Johnson, contract purchaser of the property, had made no contract on the road nossibility to the Vleet. He hoped to cet a 10 cay extension on the closiTI['" date which had been set for October 30, 1969. B-69-129 requests a change from A-2 to 1-3 on 4.31 acres triangular along 1-70 at Tabor Street. Motion was made by Alderman Howard, 2nd by Alderman Bowling that the Council adopt resolution #8--nutting 7!heat Ridge employees on PERA-- Motion passed 4-0 and the resolution was adopted. Howard Jaidinger p;ave information on Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Alderman Howard is to select a committee to 1001<: into other health insurance plans. Leroy Tobler spoke on the Proposed Arvada Higmvay, called the ~uail Street alignment--which had been the subject of a public hearing on Sept. 25. t''?' ~r:;.;~'.. The City of Arvada and the county would pay all construction costs. 3. Roadway will be designed at 45 m.p.h. criterion except on curve at S. W. corner of Mr. Kellers property which will be 37.5 m.p.h. 4. Roadwav will be graded 52'flowline to flowline road from 58th to Q,uail to Kip. &: 1). S. (;0. R.O.\'!. 5. Roadway to be paved for two 13ne traffic. 6. Additional R.O.W. will be acquired at Ridge Road and proposed roadway for possible future grade seDaration over C & S Railroad. 7. Roadway on Kipling will be designed for anticipated future traffic and constructed with curb and gutter and 4-lane configuration. 8. Possibly traffic fipnals will be constructed at Kipling Junction. However, this point had not been included in the discussions between County and Arvada. Alderman Eckhardt requested that Vheat Ridge be given a proposal in writing before making a decision so that there "I/ould be no question in the future as to who 'lIQuId be paying what. Attorney Gerald Boatright presented an application from Robert Hartman for a 3.2 beer carryout license for the Rally Store at 4075 Kipling. Motion was made bv Al(ieT';nan Huls ey, 2nd by Alderman Howard "That the application for 3.2 license by Mr. Eartman be accepted as it appears to be acceptable under the ~','heat Rid:,!e Resolution". Motion passed unanimously by those present. The applicant was directed to meet statutory requirements of pUblishing and posting and pay a~25 fee to the State and to the City. Motion by Alderman Eckhardt, 2nd by Alderman Hulsey "That the boundaries for the neighborhood be set at 1 mile, 5,220 feet, from the outlet. Motion was made by Alderman HUlsey, 2nd by Alderman Eckhardt "that the hear ing be set NovEIDber 18th at 8:30 p.m." Passed 4-0. Mr. Norman Gallaher die c us sed an insuram e program whic ~".9ould be provided by Hartford Insurance Co. which would cover cars (W~ltjt 'j301TCe cars) CuU<1fo' equipment, buildings, streets, bodily injury, false arrest, etc. Policy would cost $2,374 per year on a 3 year basis. A revision of the 1969 budget was presented by Walter Johnson. Resolution #9 that the council adopt the revised budget as presented and the monies therein be appropriated. Motion was made by Alderman Bowling to adopt resolution #9, 2nd by Alderman Eckhardt. Passed 5-0. Motion was made by Alderman Bowlinp-, 2nd by Alderman Howard "that Council adopt Resolution #10 providing for the creation of a five man Zoning Board to be made up of the I\;ayor, Alderman, and three citizens."
