MINUTES
November 22, 1969
Continuation of the November 18 meeting was called to order at 11:00
a.m. by Mayor Albert E. Anderson in the Wheat Ridge City office at
7390 West 38th Avenue.
Aldermen attending were: Robert Eckhardt, Robert Howard, Calvin Hulsey,
Dana Bowling and Jack Bramble. Others attending were Mayor Anderson,
Clerk Louise Turner, Administrator Walter Johnson, U. S. Representative
Donald Brotzman and citizens.
Mayor Anderson stateD that the City had applied for omnibus crime
funds and would be interested in knowing what other programs might
be available to new cities and then turned the meeting over to U. S.
Representative Donald G. Brotzman.
Representative Brotzman presented to the Council a flag that had
flown over the United States Capital and read a statement written by
J. George Stewart architect of the Capital.
Representative Brotzman stated that omnibus crime funds have not yet
been authorized; that there are HUD Funds available for water and sewer,
programs relative to gree' bel t development and a whole compilation of
funds available on a matching fund basis. This compilation will be
sent to the Council.
He explained briefly the process under which schools received land free,
parks at half price and counties at full price.
He stated that he is anxious to help this city in any way possible and
that the city can always contact him through John Nally or through his
office at the Federal Center.
A brief council meeting continued after Mr. Brotzman left.
Motion was made by Alderman Eckhardt "that Council approve Resolution #29
which establishes that a Board of Adjustment be in operation under
Resolution until the ordinance governing its' creation can go into effect."
Motion was seconded by Alderman Hulsey and passed 5-0. Alderman Pepe
was absent.
Motion was made by Alderman Hulsey, "that the Mayor be authorized to
engage on a reasonable fee basis, the person recommended by the personnel
committee for Interim Building Inspector". Motion was seconded by
Alderman Bramble and passed 4-0. Alderman Pepe and Alderman Bowling were
absent.

Zoning cases which had been partially or largely processed by the County~
and a decision as to their disposition was tabled until Tuesday,
November 25, 1969.
Meeting adjourned at 1:40 p.m.
