to be out of town had precluded an earlier date. Howevcr, Council
d8cided that the matter might be expedited by the appointment of
three alternates not yet appointed.

Concensus of opinion of the Council was that a second sweEp was

visors should be turned over to tho personnel committee.
The Personnel committee reporteD that people are beins considered
for jobs of planner, part-time cnqineor, typist receptionist and
C8put~ citV clerk.

recommended by the Treasuror.
Ralph Johnson r8ported that a mootin] had been held with engineer
o'~ the "Pierce Street Storm drainer;"! proClram" und that thp- [llans
mLt with Mr. Johnson's opproval. GasicAI1V the proposed plan will
extend drainage south to 37th Place at an estimated cost of vI30,OOO.

The Clerk announced that application from the Public Service Company
For a hEarin~ on December 30 for introduction and first reading of
Ordinance jl~ - The Public Service Franchise Drdinance - has been
submitted and rDsted with the prDpDsed Drdinance in all regular city
posting places. Arrangements have been made fDr publication on
December 10, lSGS, in the Arvada Citizen.
An agreement betwBen Wheat Ridge an0 Container Systems Inc. was read,
and questiDns Df the advisability Df signing the agreement prior to
receipt Df the ~eec were raised.

agreement as written." MotiDn was seconded by Alderman Howard and
