The twenty-eighth regular meeting of the Wheat Ridge City C8unci1
was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Wheat Ridge Cnunell Meeting
Room at 7390 West 3B Avenue by Mayor Albert E. Anderson.
Aldermen attending were: Ray C. Pepe, Joseph Donaldson, [alvin
Hulsey, Robert Howard and Dana Bowling.
Also attending were Mayor Anderson, Clerk Louise Turner, City Attor-
ney Maurice Fox, Administrator Walter Johnson, members of the Wheat
Ridge Park Commission, applicants for rezonings and citizens.
Information on the Applewood Knolls Subdivision eleventh filing was
presented by Mr. Anthony Dursey, owner and Mr. Emmett Lane, engineer.
Of particular interest was a narrow strip along Lena Gulch which has
been offered a8 park land to the city.
Motion was made by Alderman Bowling and seconded by Alderman Pepe "that
the matter be taken under advisement until February 19, 1070."
Motion was amended to read "until February 17, 197o." The second approved
the amended and the motion was passed 5-0.

WZ-69-9 Applicant Robert Williams represented by Attorney Charles Flett
had requested a change from A-I to C-l-amended to a request to RC-at
49 Avenue and Kipling Street for a convenience grocery store. The
matter had been tabled pending receipt of a deed for lB.5 feet of ROW.
Deed was delivered to Council and accepted.
Motion was made by Alderman Bowling "that Case WZ-69-9 request for change
from A-I to RC be approved because the use of the land would be more
advisable and would fall into uniform zoning." Motion W3G seeondgd by
Alderman Donaldson and passed 5-0.
Alderman Donaldson introduced Resolution No. 49.
Motion was made by Alderman Donaldson "that Wheat Ridge provide
lighting as set out in Resolution No. 49." Motion was seconded

Ordinance No. 25 was introduced by Alderman Hulsey and read.
Motion was made by Alderman Hulsey "that Ordinance No. 25 be amended to
delete: 'CRS-139-7B-l (1963)' after (F) in Section 3, 'CRS-139-6-5
(1963)1 after (F) in Section 4 and 'CRS-99-2-4 (1963)' at the end of
Section B." Motion was seconded by Alderman Howard and passed 5-0.
Motion was made by Alderman Howard and seconded by Alderman Donaldson
"that Council adopt on first reading Ordinance No. 25 as amended and
that it be ordered published and posted." Motion passed 5-0.
Ordinance No. 26-the Green River Ordinance-was introduced by Alderman
Howard and read.
After discussion, Motion was made by Alderman Pepe and seconded by Ald-
erman Bowling "that the Green River Ordinance be tabled." Motion passed
5-0.
Bids were read on two 1970 white Ford custom ranch wagons-one from
Johnny Harper, available now for $2975.50 and on~ from Hover f'ord for
$2953. available in about three weeks.
Motion was made by Alderman Pepe "that the city purchase a white Ford
custom ranch wagon,

"that Council approve the purchase of a radio at $692. and a control
unit at $451." Motion was seconded by Alderman Howard and passed 5-0.
Mr. Hobbs was directed to write a letter informing the county and Mr.
Sam Martin stating that the county recommended action will not be taken
in regard to the drainage problem at 39 Avenue and Robb Street.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
