The thirty-second regular meeting of the Wheat Ridge City Council
was called to order at 7 30 p.m. by Mayor Albert E. Anderson in the
Wheat Ridge Council meeting room at 7390 West 38 Avenue.
Aldermen present were Ray Pepe, Dana Bowling, Jack Bramhle, Joseph
Donaldson, Calvin Hulsey and Robert Howard.
Others attending ~Iere Mayor Anderson, Clerk Louise Turner, ~dmini6trator
Walter Johnson, representatives of the Columbia rardens Acsociatinn,
students and other interested citizens.
Mr. Don Marque of the Puhlic Service Company analyzed the street
lighting of the City and gave recommendation for Edditionel lighting
and stated 1,600 lights as a number to totally light tho City at
a cost of approximately $83,DOO.00. Maps and pamphlets were distri-
buted to the Mayor and the Council.
Ordinance No 30 was introduced by Alderman Pepe and read.
Motion was made by Alderman -Jnaldson "that Ordinance No. 30 calling
for the acceptance of stnmts from the city [1; Lskewood t1[' fJE'sSE'd
on first reading and be ordered published ~nd posted." i otinn ~ms
seconded by Alderman Pepe and passed 6-0.
Representative Jim !iaberer presented to Council for study 8 Telephone
Company proposal for 8 manual PBX system at a cost of $270 00 per month.
Lease on building at 7390 west 38 Avenue was discussed.
Motion was made by Alderman Pepe that tre Mayor negotiate the attached
lease as presented to Council for the Council meeting room and quarters
on the first floor of 7390 West 38 Avenue." Motion was seccnded by
Alderman Bramble and passed 6-0.
Motion was made by Alderman Pepe "that the ~ity take over the present
obligations of Columbia Gardens in respect to street lighting as
discussed (in accordance with) 8 letter from Mr. Speas and Mr. Mr Neil."
Motion was seconded by Alderman ~onaldson and passed 6-0.
Meeting was adjourned at 10 00 p.m.
