The fortieth regular Council meeting of the Wheat Ridge City Council
was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Wheat Ridge Council Meeting
Room at 7390 West 38 Avenue by Mayor Albert E. Anderson.
Aldermen present were: Robert Howard, Calvin Hulsey, Ray Pepe, Joseph
Donaldson and Jack Bramble.
Others attending were Mayor Anderson, Clerk Louise Turner, Attorney
Maurice Fox, Planning Director James Mier, Administrator Walter
Johnson, applicants in rezoning cases and interested citizens.
Case WZ-70-1 Applicant Mike Leprino had requested a change from
R-1 to R-1A at 32 Avenue and ~ipling Street.
The following Motion was made by Alderman Pepe "I move that the re-
quested change be approved for the following reasons: that R-lA
would conform, that it would be more restrictive and that it complies
with the comprehensive plan." Motion was seconded by Alderman Hulsey
and was defeated 3-2 with Aldermen Bramble, Howard and Donaldson
voting "nay." The rezoning was denied and the property will remain
R-1.
Mr. Leprino asked that it be in the record that he felt Alderman
Bramble should have abstained because he had not been at the public

Case WZ-70-4 Applicant Mary G. Weynand requested a change from A-1
to C-1 at 4711 ~ipling for use as a motel site.
The following Motion was made by Alderman Howard III move that Council
approve the change from A-1 to C-1 requested in WZ-70-4 because it
is compatible with the existing zoning within the area." Motion
was seconded by Alderman Donaldson and passed 5-0.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
