Re-zoning Decision Case WZ~70-7 Applicant had requested a change from
R-2 and A-1 to R-3A to build doubles and multiple units at Simms
Street and Swadley Street just south of Interstate 70.
Motion by Alderman Howard "I move we deny WZ-70-7 the requested
change from R-2 and A-1 to R-3A to build two-family dwellings and
multiple units. Five property owners in the area spoke in opposition
and the only one for it was the owner. He wants to put doubles on
the area that is now R-2--it should be re-platted for five doubles
not seven. We don't need twenty-three multiple units for a buffer
zone. Doubles are a good buffer zone. Also, there is a traffic
problem which n8eds to be corrected before any rezoning which would
increase the density can be considered." Motion was seconded by Ald-
erman Donaldson and passed 3-2 to deny the re-zoning with Aldermen
Pepe and Bowling voting "nay."
Case WZ-70-10 Applicant Donald Keim requested a change from R-1A
to R-C1 at 32 Avenue and Wright Court for a professional office
building. Case was presented by the applicant. He stated the building
would be one story or one and one/half stories, that a filling station
is immediately to the west and a deeded ROW running NW to SE between
this and adjoining property, and that there will be ample parking.
Mr. Fox ruled that due to an error In posting of the property, the
property must be reposted and the case continued for one week to
allow any opposition to be heard.

and the case continued for one week to allow any opposition to be
considered on May 19, 197o--wi th the case to be resEl~~eG "a}.. that
time." Motion was seconded by Alderman Pepe and passed 5-iJ.
