Series of 1970.
TITLE. AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING CERTAIN STREETS FROM THE CITY
OF LAKEWOOD, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson City, a Municipal Corpora-
tion, now known as the City of Lakewood, Colorado, filed a Petition
with the District Court in and for the County of Jefferson, State
of Colorado, in Civil Action No. 33015, to determine boundaries and inclu-
sions of property, and the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, was made a
party to that action, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the filing of said Petition, the City
of Lakewood, has passed an Ordinance captioned, "An Ordinance Ceding
Portions of Wadsworth Boulevard, West 32nd Avenue, Kipling Street, and
Youngfield Street to the City of Wheat Ridge", and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge, a Municipal Corporation,
has filed a Petition in the District Court in and for the County of
Jefferson, and State of Colorado, in Civil Action No. 32989, to
amend its boundaries, Now Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. The City of Wheat Ridge hereby accepts from
the City of Lakewood, all right, title and interest which Lakewood
may have had in and to all of the following described parts of
public Streets and their rights-of-way, lying within the City limits
of the City of Lakewood, to wit:
(1) All of Wadsworth Boulevard and the intersection of
Wadsworth Boulevard and West 26th Avenue lying North of the South
line of Section 26, Township 3 South, Range 69 West;
(2) All of Kipling Street and the intersection of Kipling
Street and West 26th Avenue lying North of the South line of
Sections 27 and 28, Township 3 South, Range 69 West; the intersection

of Kipling Street and West 32nd Avenue; and all of West 32nd
Avenue lying East of the East line of Kipling Street;
(3) All of Youngfield Street lying North of the South
line of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29,
Township 3 South, Range 69 West;

It being the intention of this ordinance to remove and accept
all of the parts of the Streets and their rights-of-way herein described
from the City of Lakewood, and place them within the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and
welfare of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force five (5) days after publication following final passage,
providing it shall have been passed by an affirmative vote of three-
fourths (3/4) of the members of the City Council; otherwise, said
ordinance shall take effect-thirty (30) days after publication follow-
ing final passage. -
