TITLE. .AN ORDINANCE VACATING A CERTAIN PART OF -A STREET LOCATED
WITHIN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: I.E. VACATING A CERTAIN
PORTION OF LAMAR STREET LYING IN PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER CNE 1A)
OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW 1/4) OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 3 SOUTH,
RANGE 69 WEST OF THE SIXTH (GTH).PRINCIPAL MERIDRN
WHEREAS, by Deed as recordedin Book 599,-at Page 533of
the Records of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, a_cestain
street, known as Lamar Street, was dedicated to the public; and
WHEREAS, that part of Lamar Street described as follows:
Beginning ate point that is 25=feet Eastof the West
boundary"ot, Qlock 11, Lakeview Subdivision;-Jefferson
County', Colorado .'and 27;feet South-of the North boun-
darV of said Black 11, which point of beginning is on
the East boundary line of Lamar Street thence South
along said East boundary of Lamar-Street a distance
of 64 feet-,'thence West 4.25 feet, thence North Parallel
with said.Eist boundary of Lamar Street a distance of
64 feet, thence East 4.25 feet to point of beginning,-
as recorded.-In Book 599 at Page 533 of the Jefferson
County Records,
is not now or has never been used by the public as a roadway; and
WHEREAS, that part of Lamar Street abov.e.described is
within the limits-of the-City„of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, no land would as a result of such vacation be
left without an established public road connecting it with
another established public road; and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Planning Commission has approved
the vacation of that part of Lamar Street described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is 25 feet East of the-West
boundary of Block 11, Lakeview Subdivision, Jefferson
County, Coloradoand 27 feet South of the North boun-
dary of saidBlock 11, which point of beginning is on
the East boundary line_of Lamar Street, thence South
along saidEast boundary of Lamar Street a distance
of 64 feet, thence West 4.25 feet, thence North parallel
with said.East boundary of Lamar Street-a.datance of
64 feet, thence East 4.25 feet to-,point of beginning,
as recorded in Bock 599 at Page-533 of the,JRfferson
County Records.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section I. That part of Lamar Street described as
follows:
Beginning at a point that is 25 feet East of the West
boundary of.Block 11, Lakeview Subdivision, Jefferson
County, Colorado and 27 feet South of the North boun-
darV of saidBlock 11, which point of.beginning is on
the East boundary line of Lamar Street, thence South
along said East boundary of Lamar Street_a distance
of 64 feet, thence West 4.25 feet, thence North parallel
with said East boundary of Lamar Street] a distance of
64 feet, thence East 4.25 feet to point of beginning,
as recorded in Book 599 at Page 533 of the Jefferson
County Records,
lying in the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado is hereby_vacated.

Section 2. Emergency Clause. ' The provisions of this-
ordinance are necessary to the immediate preservation of the
public health and safety of the citizens of the City of Wheat
Ridge for.the following reasons:
1. No ordinance has been previously passed relating
to the_vacation of that part of Lamar Street, as previously
described, because the City having just completed incorporation
August 20, 1969 has not heretofore adopted any ordinance vacating
this street.
2. An ordinance vacating that part of Lamar Street as above
previously described is necessary to allow the orderly development
of the area.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days after publication following
final passage, providing it shall have been passed by an affirmative
vote.of three-fourths (314) of_the members of the City Council; _
otherwise said ordinance -shall _take effect thirty (30).days after
publication followingfinal passage:
