TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, BY CODIFYING ORDINANCES NUMBERED
249, 253, 255, 263, 264, 265, 266, 267, 268, 272,
280, 283, 286, 287, 288, 293, 294, 295, 299,
300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 3061 309, 310, 311, 312, 313,
314, 315, AND 316 OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, AND
INCORPORATING SAID ORDINANCES INTO THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO:
Section 1. The Code of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is
hereby amended by codifying Ordinances Numbered 249, 253, 255,
263, 264, 265, 266, 267, 268, 272, 280, 283, 286, 287, 288, 293,
294, 295, 299, 300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 309, 310,
311, 312, 313, 314, 315 and 316 of the City of Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, and by incorporating said ordinances into said
Code of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Section 2. The provisions of the amended Code shall be in
force and effect as provided for in Section 6 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. Whenever in the Code of the City of Wheat Ridge any
act is made or declared to be unlawful, an offense, nuisance or
misdemeanor, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, any
person who shall be convicted of the violation of any such provision
of the Code adopted by this ordinance or other ordinance of the
City or of such order, rules or regulations shall be punished by
a fine of not more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or by
imprisonment in jail not exeeding ninety days or by both fine and
imprisonment. Each day any violation of such Code or any other
ordinance of the City or any order, rule or regulation promulgated
under the provisions of such Code or other ordinances of the City
shall continue, shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and
phrases of this ordinance and the Code hereby adopted are severable,
and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this
ordinance or the Code hereby adopted shall be declared unconstitu-
tional or otherwise invalid by the valid judgment or decree of a
court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality or
invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses,
sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance or the Code
hereby adopted.
Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance are necessary for
the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens
of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Section 6. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
1 day after publication following final passage.

6 to 0 on this 30th day of July , 1979;
ordered published in full in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration
on final passage set for August 13 , 1979, at
7:30 o'clock p.m., at Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th
Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final
reading by a vote of 6 to 0 this 13th day of
August , 1979.
