Series of 1983
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE: ELECTED
POSITIONS OF MAYOR, MEMBER OF' CITY COUNCIL, CITY CLERK,
AND CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE DURING THE
TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING NOVEMBER 8, 1983, AND ENDING
NOVEMBER 5, 1985; REPEALING ORDINANCES 353, 354, 355, 356,
AND 458; AND PROVIDING FOR AN AUTOMATIC REPEAL AND
TERMINATION OF THESE ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO:
1. Ordinances 353, 354, 355, 356, and 458, previously enacted by
the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, are hereby
repealed.
2. During the term of elected office commencing I,iovember 8,
1983, and the following specified elected officials within the City of
Wheat Ridge shall receive the annual salaries specified herein, payable
in the monthly installments provided herein:
A. The Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive an annual
salary of $8,400, payable in monthly installments of $700.00.
B. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual
salary of $3,000, payable in monthly installments of $250.00
C. The City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive an
annual salary of $20,000 for one (1) year, and $21,500 for the
second (2) year, payable in monthly installments of $1,667.67,
and $1,791.67.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive
an annual salary of $16,800, payable in monthly installments of
$1,400.00, for one (1) year, and $18,000, for the second year
payable in monthly installments of $1,500.
3. This Ordinance shall be effective November 8, 1983, and shall
be automatically repealed and shall cease to be effective on November 5,
1985.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of 6 to 1
this 8th day of August ,1983; ordered published in full in as
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public
Hearing and consideration on final passage be set for September 12,
1983, at 7:30 p.m., at Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th Avenue,
Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading by a
vote of 6 to 2 this 12th day of September, 1983.
