TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE ELECTED POSITIONS
OF MAYOR, MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND CITY
TREASURER, OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, DURING THE TERM OF OFFICE
COMMENCING NOVEMBER 11, 1985, AND ENDING NOVEMBER 9, 1987 FOR
THE TWO-YEAR TERMS, AND NOVEMBER 13, 1989, FOR THE FOUR-YEAR
TERMS; REPEALING ORDINANCES 353, 354, 355, 356, 458, AND 548;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN AUTOMATIC REPEAL AND TERMINATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO:
1. Ordinances 353, 354, 355, 356, 458, and 548, previously
enacted by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, are
hereby repealed.
2. During the term of elected office commencing November 11,
1985, the following specified elected officials within the City of
Wheat Ridge shall receive the annual salaries specified herein, payable
in the monthly installments provided herein:
A. The Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive an annual
salary of $8,400, payable in monthly installments of $700.00.
B. Each two-year term member of the City Council shall receive
an annual salary of $3,300, payable in monthly installments of
$275. Each four-year term member of the City Council shall
receive an annual salary of $3,300, payable in monthly
installments of $275.00 for the 1985-1987 term, and $3,600 per
year in monthly installments of $300.00 for the 1987-1989 term.
C. The City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge shall be a full
time position and shall receive an annual salary of $22,575 per
year for a two-year term, payable in monthly installments of
$1,881.25.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge shall be a
part time position and shall receive an annual salary of $24,000
per year for a two-year term, payable in monthly installments of
$2,000.
3. This Ordinance shall be effective November 11, 1985, and
shall be automatically repealed and shall cease to be effective on
November 13, 1989.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of ~ to 0 -
this 9th day of September 1985; ordered published in full in a
newspaper of general circulatitn in the City of Wheat Ridge, and Public
Hearing and consideration on final passage be set for September 23
1985, at 7:30 p.m., at Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final readinq by a
vote of 7 - to 0 this 23rd day of Sntembex , 1985.
