TITLE: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE DISCONNECTION OF A PARCEL
OF LAND LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE.
WHEREAS, Mr. Sam Barnhill, Trustee for property located at
13149 West 33rd Avenue, Lot 5, , 70 West Business Center
Subdivision, Wheat Ridge, Colorado has submitted a request for
disconnection from the City of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREEAS, said parcel of land is located adjacent to the
boundary of the City of Wheat Ridge upon a public street that is
wholly located within unincorporated Jefferson Ccunty; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge has
determined, after hearing testimony at a properly held public
hearing, that the best interests of the City of Wheat Ridge and
its citizens will not be prejudiced by the disconnection of such
tract.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following legally described tract of land is
hereby disconnected from inclusion within the boundaries of the
City of Wheat Ridge:
Lot 5, Block 7, 70 West Business
Center, County of Jefferson,
State of Colorado
Section 2. Liability for taxes. The tract so disconnected shall
be liable for payment of any taxes lawfully assessed against it
while such land was within the limits of the City of Wheat Ridge
and which taxes remain unpaid up to and including the effective
date of disconnection.
Section 3. Effective date. This Ordinance shall become
effective upon required filing with the Jefferson County Clerk
and Recorder, which shall be accomplished no later than fifteen
(15) days ~ter the da~~of adoption of this Ordinance.

INTRODUCEP, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of ~_
to ~ on"'thfis 22nd, !l(t~~of February , 1993, ordered
published in full in a 'newspaper of general circulation in the
City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration on final
passage set for March 22 , 1993, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in
the Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado.
Tabled by a vote of 5-3 on this 22nd day of March 1993.
Taken off the Table on August 9, 1993.

Dear Mr. Gidley:
This letter is to inform you that the legal description
contained in this ordinance is incorrect. The correct
legal is: Lot 5 70 West Business Center. There are no
block numbers in this subdivision. The City may want to
do a correction for this ordinance. I have however
removed this property from the City of Wheat Ridge for
tax purposes.
