RESOLUTION NO. 107
Series of 1971
WHEREAS, a lack of recreational activity exists for certain
citizens of Wheat Ridge;
WHEREAS, the youth of the community need and require the
support of the entire community;
WHEREAS, a non-profit Corporation named the Wheat Ridge Action
Youth Association has been formed to help in providing activities and
entertainment and recreation for young people of this community;
WHEREAS, this Corporation, under the leadership of a Junior
Board of Directors, and a Senior Board of Directors is opening a
Coffee House, for the youth of the community;
WHEREAS, Gale Hinkle, resident and businessman of this com-
munity, has donated an entire business facility to this Coffee House
for use on the weekends;
WHEREAS, the first day of operation of this Coffee House will
take place on January 29, 1971 at 7:30 p.m., and;
WHEREAS, the ultimate success or failure of this program to
provide for the needs of our youth depends upon the cooperation and
good will of the entire City;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado that they support and encourage this
effort to better serve this community through the efforts of those
people interested in this endeavor.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 11th day of
1971 by a vote of 6 to 0
