RESOLUTION NO. 299
Series of 1974
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Community Center, Inc. is
providing valuable and necessary services in maintaining special
training programs, which serve a segment of the population of
Jefferson County not otherwise served by the programs of the
Jefferson County School District; and
WHEREAS, certain citizens of the City of Wheat Ridge
are benefited by the special programs of the Jefferson County
Community Center, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, capital funds are necessary and needed to
construct new facilities for the successful continuance of this
program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is desirous of contrib-
uting a portion of the capital funds needed and requested by the
Jefferson County Community Center, Inc. to the extent that is
realistic in view of the City's resources and available income;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Wheat Ridge that:
1. The Wheat Ridge City Council urges the Jefferson
County School District to increase its financial
support of the Center to include capital funding.
2. The City of W~eat Ridge consider the use of
surplus City funds for this purpose if such
funds become available at the end of the 1974
fiscal year.
3. The Wheat Ridge City Council include this
request as an item for consideration w~en
the 1975 City budget is formulated.
DONE AND RESOLVED by the City Council this 28th day
of March, A. D., 1974, by a vote of 5 to 0
